In education, America is rated higher as well as on the career front. The environment, i believe that Canada is better and healthier overall. Remember this though, canada still has socialized medicine, so the healthcare tends to be a lesser quality than you will find in america. As for the people, depends on where you go. I lived in Montreal and found that the french people in the area tend to be a bit rude, but toronto is great. It just depends on where you go and what you look for. I like both countries, but found myself in Germany for awhile, which is also nice.

Canada. It's better, seen from any possible angle. The problem right now is that the Conservative Party won the last federal election and this means that Canada will give in to the White House pressure.
P.S. America is more than the US, but I interpret you as meaning to compare Canada to the US.

Well Canada is definitely more enviromentally friendly. Much, much cleaner. We have a far superior education system although it is declining. I think people in general are more friendly towards immigrats but I am sure that that depends more specifically where you are. I mean in the states I thought Texans were actually quite friendly. As for jobs we have a higher general standard of living for lower wage jobs. It really depends what you do though, some industries are stronger in the US. Oh and post secondary school costs way, way less.

they both have good and bad points. on every topic. but i would choose US or Canada, because you can get a better job and education here in the US. and people are the same in any country. and for the environment, Canada exports it waste to the US.
