Well, sounds like you need to take poor little Micky to the vet ASAP. While he was lost you don't know what could have happened. He may have gotten into something that could be toxic, or if he was in the heat he could be severly dehydrated. Both would explain the weakness. As for being skittish towards people, he may have had a bad experience. You never know, depending if he was outside, maybe another animal or even human spooked him. Micky will need time readjusting. Let him hide for a little while, find his hiding place and place his food and water near there. To help him readjust. sit by his spot and just talk to him. He'll be back in your lap in no time, he just needs a little cooling down period.

OK, if he's limping and won't let anyone touch him, sounds like he's had a rough three days. First thing you should probably do is get him checed out by a vet, in case there's any internal injury that's making his normal frolics impossible or painful for him. How you get him and the vet in the same room is a question in itself, but if your vet does home visits, it might be worth the cash. Once you've established that there's nothign physically wrong with him, it'll take a little while for him to settle back down. Make sure there's always something warm for him to sleep on, and that there's food and water available. Offer soft-voice and care, and over time, whatever happened to him over the three days may well fade, and his frolics return. Whether or not to keep him in for a few days would be something for you to judge - might do him good to know the boundaries of your place for a little while, but then again, he needs to re-establish his boundaries outside too - so on balance, if he wants to go out, let him out, but if he shows no interest in the outside, get a sandbox for however long he needs one.

Hope he's feeling better soon.

First, cats aren't supposed to have "human" milk, so make sure that you are giving him milk specifically for cats. "Human" milk isn't good for them.

Secondly the cat may have been attacked but I'm sure there would be some sort of scars or scratches if he were. There is a really good chance he was hit by a vehicle. One of my cats had gotten hit a few times and survived, but the last night he has sever internal damage but physically looked okay. He displayed a lot of the same symptoms your cat is so I would say you need to take him to the vet immediately and see what the vet says. He may just be suffering from exhaustion and lack of food and water, but you really should play it safe.

Hope everything is well.

Your cat has probably been hurt by another animal, possibly another cat or a dog. He doesn't want to be touched because he is in pain. Cats are pretty tough and the fact that he came home is a good sign. He needs to be seen by a veterinarian but if that isn't possible, you need to be sure he has fresh water and food available and let him recover quietly. Good luck with Micky.

Cat's dont like to make it obvious they are in pain, unless you touch the wounded area, then they may scratch or bite you to let you know not to touch there. They do this because if a predator knows theyre in pain it might attack, so a cat has to play it off like he's okay. Most of the other answers above are correct, but you MUST take it to the vet before handling it on your own.
