both men & women close their eyes when french kissing. It happens because the person is focusing on the pleasure that the kiss evokes.

but if you try to say some forms of kissing are "right" and some are "wrong", you're missing the whole point of kissing! Kissing is about two people expressing their care for each other. It is PERSONAL. So every person kisses differently! Some people kiss with their eyes open. Some kiss with their eyes closed. Some kiss softly and tenderly. Some kiss fiercely. Some kiss very dry. Some kiss very wet. Heck, some people change their kiss type daily to keep things interesting!

So it means NOTHING if you have your eyes open or closed. It just means that your eyes are open or closed. If you want to look in each others eyes, keep your eyes open! If you want to focus on the pleasure of the lips, close your eyes!

I suppose you CAN keep your eyes open, but it's physically very hard to focus on something (like the guy's face) when it is less than an inch away. Why do you think its a joke when they show someone kissing while looking around the room ?

Closing your eyes when you kiss allows you to concentrate on the kiss - the giving, the receiving, the responding, the sensations. Dedicating yourself to the eroticism of a kiss by closing your eyes is pretty much a compliment to the other party to the kiss.

First think about the obvious, how long do you think the kiss would last if you we're staring each other in the eyes as you kissed? When your eyes are open you see other surroundings and your mind wanders away from whats going on. When your eyes are closed you focus more on whats going on and you even get into a little more. It makes the kiss last longer, makes it more intimate and hey it may lead to you getting some later, depending on the level of your relationship.
