Well, first of all, I'd like to know what the problem is... and only then that I could decide which to become, either a part of the solution or I'd rather be the problem.
There are many ways of evaluating problems and that depends on where side you stand. Like in many social environments, politicians would always tend to be wanting to beat each other... and though usually both parties would appear to be on the side of the people, they could never probably join team... because it's simply what it is to be in the game of politics.
My point is, sometimes, what we see as the problem maybe the solution... or what it seems to be the solution, maybe the problem. Like in the case of the war in Lebanon, for some they think the war is the problem but for Israel and US, the war is the solution.
We can never say which, until we understand the purpose of things. But what matters is that we have our basic objective and are clear of our vision in life.

I disagree with this statement. The people who try to solve problems are those not associated with the problem. They have different views, beliefs, and values. No doubt they have not created or been a part of the existing problem so therefore they are called upon to help solve it. There are people who are removed from the problem so can analyze it from afar as to how to solve it. Perhaps in some instances they have been involved in a similar case and can contribute their expertise as to how they solved it at some point.

I completely agree. Some might argue that you could be neutral to the problem but if you are aware of the problem and ignore it then you are part of the problem. If you are completely unaware of the problem then you are not being a part of the bigger picture and still part of the problem. The only thing worse than making a problem is standing by idle saying, "It's not my problem"

Yes I do. Not being part of the solution means you are either opposed to it or apathetic about it. Which logically leads to the conclusion that you are part of the problem! Why do some people try to make every discussion refer to the bible which really doesn't have alot of solutions to any real problems!

agree and love that statement
in things like global warming and environmental issues i have had discussions along these lines with a friend , who thinks that it isn't their place to be separating things for recycling .. who thinks it is the job of the government to do these things,
my issue was that if neither the government do it and my friend doesn't do it .. does that mean it just doesn't get done out of stubbornness
personal responsibility .. we all have to take individual stands and do what we know is right and be the solution and not through stubbornness pass the buck to others ...
i think this quote says it all ...
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

i'm absolutely agree....
whenever there are someone who would liek to be part of something, you are either a problem or a solution...
Being Solution or a problem is one's choice of life. Being problem then you'll be hated, being solution you'll be loved..
Which side will you choose???

It depends on the particular situation. Sometimes it's applicable, sometimes not.

Agree.
Simply it means that if you are not actively trying to solve problems, and merely ***** about them, you aren't helping anything.
By not helping, you become just as bad as the people causing the problem.
