Is there anyone out there that is as terrified of radio opaque dyes as I am. I am not really sure what they are and if in fact they can cause something

Radio-opaque dyes are used to diagnose various conditions, often kidney problems but in my practice, I have had only one patient react to them during an IVP (Intra-venous pyelogram) and we resusciated him successfully. Essentially they are chemicals that help us to visualize soft tissue by X-Rays but now many of these tests are conducted by sonogram or MRI.
