Respected Sir,
I am a muslim. Islam never tell a person to kill a stranger for no reason BUT in Islam we have been taught that if a nation attacks you then you are in a situation where you must fight agaist them for your nation and for your country. So if any one attacks my home land or our nation then i will fight and in war you know that no one is the friend of other all are stranger to one another, so i will, shall kill any stranger who attack my home land.

In reality, when one go off to war they are doing just that because various religions bless the troops as they go off into battle. They are being told that killing is alright ...told to go henceforth and kill fellow brothers...other humans...break up families...hate ....make your country look good by doing so. Just think the same thing is going on with the opposing troops.....can both prove successful?

I would not join a religion that tell humans taking matters into their own hands. If you desire life, others do also. What gives me the right to shatter anothers desire? Are we not all humans? So no, any religion that I am a member of that informs me to kill will be my former religion....

I do not know about other religions but mine is based on the Bible which states at Deuteronomy 5:17 "You must not murder." of which I adhere to strickly.

even hypothetically speaking , if my church asked me to kill .. i would have to say no and think about the values of such a religion ..
my own moral standards go against killing for any reason , and i hold them possibly even more than those of religion
before we choose religion we are first and foremost humans with a mind of our own , that we should use our own logic and good judgement
i would question ..
why would a religion ask me to kill ?
does the person asking me really speak the word of god ?
do i get judged by the person asking the question or by god ?
does it go against my own nature to do this act ?
so the answer would definitely be no i would not kill

Which is greater - the expression of god in a book, or the expression of god in a living soul?

I would never burn a book in any ordinary circumstances, but I would sooner burn a book than extinguish the opportunity for change that every human heart can carry.

no religion will tell anyone to kill others, religion is meant to regulate person with good moral values.its too bad to take others life,we dont have right to take away others rights and life.kuran ,bhagavhat gita, bible and etc tells people how to live a moral life. morality is wat basically it tells to people.so religion make a man perfect if he act's according to wat it is said in their respective holy book
