Absolutely, for their own safety, if they feel it is warranted... Women shouldn't have special treatment in that regard... Should female officers have to wait for backup before searching a male suspect even though it could cost them (and maybe others) their lives? Of course not... Just because some women are sensitive about having their body checked for weapons (usually because of an over-inflated ego) doesn't mean our police force should be put at increased risk.

Not in America that I am aware of. They will have a female to do it if there is a female officers available. Now they make ask you to lift your shirt so they can see your waste line to make sure there are no guns or weapons there. But, I do not believe that a male officer can frisk a female. If this has happened then I would report this to a Lt. or a Capt. in the department or many that departments internal affairs division.

No
A Male Police Officer can not frisk a Female. They are to call for a female officer to assist in the search. But they will make sure your hands are cuffed so that you are not able to get rid of anything. A female officer will be there in no time.
It happened to me.
By the way what is (in Or)?

Yes, thats why we have training. So a male officer can search a female with out being acussed of fondoling her. Same goes for a female officer and a male subject/suspect.

all the assistance for the vehicle, offense and driver/passenger are on the cost ticket. a short narrative is many times blanketed with the cost ticket that states what exceeded off. those are particularly short many times. the following is a accepted one i will write: "On 05-16-2013 at about 2045 hours I said a white Ford sedan on Boren Ave and 9th St SW with a defective head gentle. I activated my emergency lighting fixtures and initiated a site visitors give up with the vehicle. After contacting the defendant he changed into unable to provide evidence of insurance. The defendant changed into stated for no evidence of insurance."
