The daily removal of plaque is the single most important factor in preventing gingivitis as well as the prevention of tooth decay which is caused by the acid formed by the bacteria in the same plaque. The correct tooth-brushing technique and the use of dental floss are essential for the removal of plaque.
Toothbrushing technique is very important. Place the bristles at an angle of 45° on the tooth so that the bristles are against the gum. Move the brush gently with circular motions so that the bristles move slightly between the teeth. Rotate the brush so that the bristles move from the gums over the whole outside surface of the tooth.
It is very important that every surface of each tooth be brushed thoroughly to ensure that no plaque remains. Spaces between the teeth can only be cleaned with dental floss.
The ends of the floss are twisted around the middle fingers of each hand, leaving a length of ±10cm between the fingers. The floss is placed gently between the teeth with the help of the thumb and index finger.
The floss is now moved over the curvature of the tooth and placed lightly under the gum margin. The plaque is now removed by moving the floss away from the gum margin with a scraping movement.
After flossing one tooth, the same procedure is repeated on the adjacent tooth, then move on to the next interdental space

The only way to remove plaque from your teeth is to have a dentist or dental hygenist remove it, unless you don't mind using a pick on yourself. It's actually very difficult to get rid of....

I use a plaque loosening mouth rinse. Rinse for one minute after you floss and before you brush. Try to avoid harsh whitening toothpastes. Gentle ones are best. They are less abrasive. See your dentist every six months. GL

I saw this awsome new stuff on TV today. It's a new Listerene mouthwash, that turns all the plaque on your teeth blue, so you can see it better for more effective brushing.

use the kind of toothpaste that contains fluoride for fighting tooth decay, antibacterial agent to fight plaque and gum disease or gingivitis and additional ingredients for your dental needs - brush twice using a toothbrush having good, soft bristles, brush twice, use dental floss daily, avoid excess choccy stuff (doesn't mean you can't have chocolates!) and visit your dentist regularly.
and use listerine mouthwash, cuz u don't wanna have bad breaths and gingivitis. i prefer the natural citrus one, i don't like the menthol one too much.
