I don't need to know how to get rid of fleas. I need to know if she could have them from my dog. Is it possible?

About a months and a half ago I brought my dog to my sisters house (she doesn't have any aniamals) at the time I was treating my dog for fleas. I had recently put advantage topical solution on her. My sister called me last night complaing she thinks she has fleas. Could this be true? Even though my dog had been treated and it had been almost two months ago? She never mentioned anything about it before. If she had fleas wouldn't she have noticed them right away?

I do think it is possible.

It is likely the fleas took a while to get bad enough for her to notice. They keep multiplying and when their is not an animal around they bite humans.

Most flea control takes a while to start working and some ward off fleas while others make them sterile and so on.

Since this is your sister, why not just apologize for possibly causing this and say if you did have anything to do with it you are very sorry and it would never have been your intentions.

Personally I do think that the fleas could have come from your pet the falacy that dog fleas dont bite humans is quite untrue and you will find that the eggs will stay in the carpet until the right conditions occur for them to hatch if you are having extremely hot weather then that could be the right condition for them to hatch

It is possible for your dog to have left a few fleas at your sisters house, but she may have also brought the fleas into her own home. Fleas can easily attach themselves to our clothes and in our shoes with out us ever knowing about them. The fleas can then reproduce and run their life cycle, potentially reproducing.

I don't think so... well, she very well could have, but I don't think fleas can survive on humans very long. Like, past a couple of days. My guess, if she got fleas it's from something more recent.

well its not possible that the fleas wld transfer from dog to ur sister that also she wld realize after 3 mths. well sometimes it happens that maybe she's getting to close to the dog or sleeping with it then there is a minor possibility but otherwise its not possible.

Fleas will go to any blood source, whether it be human or not.
