To keep you hanging (sex with just a hint of you getting back together??) - cut him loose or tell him its all or nothing - he if really wants you back properly he will let you know, if hes playing you along he will come up with some excuse or another - thats when you let him go

Maybe they thought they could find someone "better" and realised that they actually couldn't.
So cap in hand they come crawling back when they realise that they are a fool.
(And, yes I am male :D )
Then again, they could just be missing the sex and wanting a nice casual relationship without any strings...

well it the sex of course.he wants to have just a friendship were u to can be kool and have sex and thats that.they dont want u as a gf want u as sex buddy.or they realize that was a mistake and came running bac kto u but most likely its the sex
