Reading means reading the characters in the file. If the contents are in English then Adobe should read it. I have seen that at my friends place. He did it with a short cut key

as far as i know acrobe reads files without any language constraint....

Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 has the read outloud option, Its under View > Read Out Loud in the menu bar. Shortcut key Shift + Ctrl + B

In Adobe Acrobat Reader(download free from www.adobe.com) u can use the following shortcuts-
1.Ctrl+Shift+V for reading the current page
2. Ctrl+Shift+B read from current position to the end of the document
3.Ctrl+Shift+c for pausing
4.Ctrl+Shift+E for stopping

that is useing the narrator in the microsoft ... using that you could make the system to read the documents that are displayed on the screen ...
