I never held out any expectations of what my life should or shouldn't be. I just live it to the best of my ability and hope I am remembered as being a kind and loving person who loved life.

BTW - I am 40 and have battled life-threatening kidney disease since I was 18 months old. I have had 2 failed kidney transplants, am currently back on dialysis and awaiting a 3rd transplant. I also have high blood pressure, asthma and arthritis in my spine, knees and ankles. I love life and live it to the fullest. I have a wonderful man who loves me despite all my health problems and he makes everything worthwhile.

My life isn't what I expected it to be. It's better in a lot of ways! I have a wonderful fiance and a gorgeous home and a job that is varied and interesting. However, I am far away from my family and that upsets me. Everything I have done has been of my own will but then you never expect it to turn out quite like it does, do you?

No it is not, I expected more for myself.

I am moving in the right direction now, I have a great opportunity to move on in life, and feel possitive about everything.

I used to be a negative person, thats why I didn't do as well as I think that I should have done.

But now that I have found a WHY i can focus on setting myself little goals to strive to make my life a better one.

No way! However, because of all the difficulties i have had to face (would never have chosen them) i continually feel surprised that i have managed and managed quite well. I imagine most of my school friends in classy jobs, really nice houses, financially secure. But I know that i can be proud of the way i have handled my lot in life. That gives me inner peace.

well its hard to say cause i'm still so young, but i believe we all get what we need, expectations often lead to disappointment. some people are faced with challenges and diseases that are beyond their will, would they have expected that for their lives?
As far as i am concerned, as long as i'm true to my path and hold on to whats really imporant in my life, i will be living my life the way i should....
