Should I cut my hair?

Question

Yes, the pic is me (with a bit of "watercolor" filter just because).

I like my hair long, but it's warm and it's not getting me any dates.

Do you think I'd look better if I cut it short?

I'm Native, and even though I feel like cutting it sometimes, overall my hair has an almost religious meaning to me. It's going to be difficult.

You don't sound like this is something you really want to do. If you have to ask advice about something like this then I think you should just leave your hair as it is. Try tying it back into a pony tail. That will take it off your neck and you will not feel so hot with it.

I'm part Native American and I know what you mean about the long hair seems to have a religious meaning to it. I had long hair too and a stylist butchered my hair. I've felt horrible about my self ever sense and some how feel like a part of me is missing. Just my opinion,but I don't think you should cut it. I don't know why you aren't getting any dates,you look gorgeous and I know allot of women love long hair on guys. You say it will be difficult, don't do it,just be yourself and some female will come along and love you for you. I'm serious. You say it's warm, braid your hair or put it in a low tail and tie it with a leather strap, that won't look girly. Please think long and hard before ever cutting it and only do it if you feel %100 percent good about it. Good luck and God Bless

look one of my many mottos is i won't date a guy who has longer hair then me obviously your not a guy. But the now a day look is the punk rock skater girl hair cut look if your white which ur not but you have hair like them so try it it might just work. really i couldn't help u cuz im black and i have average hair and i know what to do with it and i know all the styles and the way it is suppose to go and how to work with my hair. You know what you need to learn your hair learn how much heat it can take what makes it frizz and what makes it curly u know what i mean. But personally yes cut it some guys like long hair some don't so make it average not to long and not to short.

You have beautiful hair and I completely understand the weight and heat involved in having long hair. If you are able to cut off at least 10 inches and keep the rest, you will still have medium length hair and can donate your cut hair to Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids. They make wigs for children that lose their hair due to illness. That way, you get to cut your hair, and it was for a great reason! If you keep it at least shoulder length, you won't have as much anxiety time getting used to it, as long as you can still pull it back, you will probably just enjoy your head not being so heavy.

well religion is a important part i think that ur hair is ur own choice to cut if u choose just make sure its what u really want and that ur not gonna regret cutting it so think about it if it has a religious meaning to you then. dont go on what everyone else says do it cause u want to and because ur sure ur gonna like it. or maybe u could fix ur hair in a hairstyle that is up off ur neck if its hot think of all your options before u do something.

hmm, No need to cut it.
If u really like ur hair why do u want to cut it? I thinking getting dates dosent depend upon ur hair alone. It depends the real you. Do u mean the long hair girl wont get any dates? Its wrong if u think so.
Just wanna try to change ur style and nature instead of trying to cut ur hair, it will change ur cuteness and makes u pretty. Coz u already have pretty cute long hair. Its a plus for your beauty.

You are blessed with beautiful hair. In fact, you are very beautiful. The water color filter is such a nice touch to your photo. Go with your feelings of the spiritual quality of your hair. I don't think having no dates is a reason to cut it. Men, in general, prefer long hair. Maybe you could celebrate yourself and your beauty and find a new way to pray for love.

If YOU really want to then do it. But don't do it for someone else. Another option would be just cutting some off not a lot.

I personally LOVE long hair but I can understand why you would want to cut. I had long hair and cut and regret it.

Don't cut it! It looks nice on you..If you do decide to cut it, it would be nice if you could donate your hair to Locks of Love or something, I'm thinking of doing that myself, but I'll wait so it gets longer.
