I use (and like) Kaspersky myself...much faster than Norton, and they're the fastest at updating new virus signatures. Bit Defender is also excellent, and very thorough. You might want to try an online scan of one of the major companies also before you make your decision (I use Kaspersky, but occasionally run online Bit Defender, Norton, or Trend Micro scans just for backup). For reviews and things, go to download.com or pcworld.com and check out ratings and comments. DO NOT install or download anything from a brand/maker you've never heard of...there's a good chance it may actually be malware, as opposed to something to remove it.
If you want to stick with free software, I'd say AVG is pretty good, and I'd suggest still running an occasional online no matter what you decide...different companies have different scan engines and can sometimes find different things.

In my mind no Antivirus is the best.
Norton Antivirus has a case with Microsoft because they are changing the codes of Norton Antivirus.
Mcafee isn't good because i have checked them with many virused but doesn't alert of being virus.

If these two famous Antiviruses are not good so which one will be good.

Good Luck!!!

As a programmer, i'd say AVG.

Norton causes more problems than it solves. Not to mention being expensive. Avg is free.

Not a day goes by that a customer doesn't call in with a norton related problem... The first question i'll ask is "Do you use Norton?".

Do yourself a favor steer clear of norton and get a free virusscanner that is coded far better,

depends...best on a budget, or best overall? you can download AVG for free and its decent. I dont like Norton. it lags on your computer and unless you wanna pay every year for new upgrades, id stick with the free stuff. AVG is decent. you can get that and download Adaware and Spybot too, then youll have protection from viruses, spyware and adware, with no ding in your wallet...
