The concept of hell makes no sense whatsoever, and I can prove it.
God in general (many different beliefs):
If there is such a thing as God, and he created something, why the hell punish it for doing what he created it to do in the first place?
The Christian God:
The Christian God is a God of love, and since he is God, all powerfull. He does not "Have" to let people burn in hell for all eturnity, and allowing them to is simply a cruel, and loveless act.
Hell is only a trick used to convert people to a belief, by manipulating their fear.

In all fairnes, I will answer Uncle.Bubba's
question, which is:
God is not only Love but ALSO justice and fairness; when you rebel, you are slapping God in the face and telling Him you do not love Him... is this question really looking for an answer or enticing a fight??
Since the Christian God, is a God if infinite knowledge, and understanding, AND love, Uncle.Bubba's statement is completely useless.
Also, where did you get the idea that the Christian God is a God of "Fairness?" All evidence points to the contrary. (Look at nature, for example, creating an animal at the bottom of the food chain is hardly fair.)

I'm not sure if this is the proper place, but I guess I'll add another detail answering a question I think deservs an answer:
I do have one question for you. Now just suppose there is a Heaven and no Hell. Now along comes one into the mankind system who does not want to go to heaven. He wants no part of Heaven. In fact he even rejects the idea there is a God and a heaven. Now where can he go if there is a place to go after this existence. There is only a heaven and no place else.
Well, since God is all-powerfull, why not create a neutral place, like earth that the person can go to after death?
Would a loving God as you declared the God to be want to have one in Heaven in love who does not want to be there? Is that what you call and define as love. Is making one do what he does not want and making him experience what he desires not to experience a fact of love? If so then what is other than love?
I think the previous answer answers this question as well.

Another one I will answer:
I am so sorry you have such negative feeling regaurding this subject! I don't believe like you do! I don't believe in using fear to convert people! I believe that God does want the best for all of his children. God offers salvation to everyone!!!! It's free! It's like your dad buying you a ticket to go to the movies. You don't get in to see the movie without your ticket! All God wants is for you to accept the free gift! Salvation~Ticket
I don't believe it's mean! I think it is sad that people don't take such an awesome Gift. It's a choice...Heaven or Hell...You decide?
You fail to grasp the concept I have stated. I am not denying that the said heaven is a "Free Ticket," but that hell does not exist and that God has infinite power, and it would be cruel to let someone burn in hell for eturnity.

Another one.............
Who said the Christian God is the God of love? What about Noah and Sodoma, for example? According to the Catholic Church, Hell is the state of being deprived from God's love, and not that burning place that was invented by artists to manifest this internal suffering. Don't forget what Adam and Eve did. God's using collective punishment for all their descendants. If we pass His test (life), we can go back to Paradise or temporarily to the Purgatory. If not, it means we refused Him, so He turns Himself away from us.
It's funny that I say such things when I'm not religious at all... lol
Who said the Christian God is a God of love?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whomsoever believs in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
I think it's abundantly clear that God loves man at least.

I am not saying that the entire Bible is false, just the concet of hell. There is no reason someone couldn't have added the concept of hell later, just to convert people, using fear.

I agree. The god that so many people believe in is obviously evil or nonexistent (most likely the latter).
Infinite punishment for finite sins:
God is perfectly just, and yet he sentences the imperfect humans he created to infinite suffering in hell for finite sins. Clearly, a limited offense does not warrant unlimited punishment. God's sentencing of the imperfect humans to an eternity in hell for a mere mortal lifetime of sin is infinitely more unjust than this punishment. The absurd injustice of this infinite punishment is even greater when we consider that the ultimate source of human imperfection is the God who created them. A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible.

From the way in which your query is framed and persisted with additions, you will have already attempted those marines, observed them responsible and sentenced them. Wait till the trial and spot what proof comes out. U.S and British troops will now lose their lives straight due to the fact of those allegations as humans over there retaliate. The anger of humans within the center east gets worse with each new allegation or idea released. How dangerous will you suppose if the allegations are truthfully observed to be groundless and you have got helped whip up the passion which has ended in yet another younger baby in uniform being butchered? Lets see and listen to the proof, after which if those men are responsible then we make an instance of them to exhibit that we as a society and a miltary don't condone such motion.

That is one view and from your words your view. I can accept that and am happy to let you have it as your view if that is what you want.
Now suppose I want to have the view that there is a Hell? Will you let me have that view and not say I do believe in a lie? I did not say you believe in a lie.

I am just curious in regards to your reasoning and would like for you to explain your conclusion in detail. However such is you option for I will respect you position if you do choose not to explain it. You do owe me nothing OK
Now do smile , and have a great day OK

There is hell off course. This is the place which sinners will go. It has nothing to do with God of love and all the rest...
We have given life with the choices to do bad or good ( what is bad and what is good- the Holy Books are describing clearly). As per our choice- will be our jugdment.
In Islam I beleive that all muslims will go to paradise anyway. Muslims sinners will get their punishment in hell for certain period, but eventually will be in havens.

Oh yeah this one I know too. Well, I'm an atheist but I'll give you the wise man's response and my wiser response to that.
"Any little crime against an infinitley holy God is infinitley punishable, and it is fair to spend eternity in hell." Think about it and it kindof makes sense, but then...
"If God is so infinite and holy then shouldn't he view our sins as infinitley small, and deserving of an infinitley small punishment?"
The lesson:
Infinity is a powerful concept, don't play with it.
I agree with you, they do this to convert people, but converting people is hardly the problem. They do it to keep people believing.

If you consider that everything is your choice, all of this can be resolved. The idea of hell is that it is a place devoid of God. You can go there if you choose, but it is considered torment from a Christian standpoint. Who knows? There may be popsicles and reach-arounds, but a Christian wouldn't want to be apart from God.
