Think new (or almost new), also-- convertible or coupe?

*BTW-- I am mainly trying to find something fun and thrilling to drive, but I want something attractive as a secondary factor. I test-drove a Corvette today and was impressed by the way it drove and the reactions I got from it-- all the more fun right?

If you want something for status, porsche is far better, but buying a car for prestige is pretty retarded. If you want something extremely fun to drive, get somehting like an old mini (yes, the classic ones), an MG B or midget, or something else small and light.
The car you should look for is an old mini with a honda B16 in it. Nothing says you have balls more than driving an old mini. Shows youre completely secure with yourself, and dont need a car to pick up girls. And theyre the most fun to drive cars on the planet. Guarenteed to get you the WTF and stare value also.
and please be more specific. BMW 3 could be anything from a 70's 318 to the M3 CSL, Porsche could be from 914 to Carrera GT to a streetable 917, and vettes have been around for 50 years also.
and dont buy a new one of any of the cars. For the price of a new caymen you can get a 996 (03ish) 911 turbo, which is a far superior car.

Porsche or Corvette. I'd go with the Porsche. If you're a guy, BMWs are just too feminine...

Get a grip man!! A car its only a way to go from one place to another.
I know its fun to drive and i also know that beautiful design makes our life better, but if you wanna buy a car, do it for yourself not for the girls.
