To the person who said its camoflage and breaks up the helmet, i just think it looks like a huge mushroom, and i would be like shoot at the mushrooms

it is camouflage.it breaks up the silhouette of the solider

that is a camouflage over , instead of being form fitting as is usual, it fits loosely so it has no shape, breaking up the outline of the helmet as you move and making it more difficult for the enemy to zero in on you

It is a camouflage cover for the helmet.The nickname for it is the "clown hat".It is reversible from green to desert patterns.

The technical term for it is: 'camouflage cover.'

The reason it is so baggy is because regular shapes are easier to see.
