I often hear the argument "FOR" Theism that:
"If There is no God, and there is no ultimate authority to punish you eternaly for your "sins", then why should anyone live a moral life"?

"Is it better to just let some people remain superstitious?"

Superstitions were created by man just like laws, morals, and humanity. You can keep all of those minus the superstitions and remain a good and decent person. So, I would rather they not hold on to those superstitions. But since they want them then let them have them. The only thing I really hate is when their superstitions get into the way of reason and justice.

Superstition - is the irrational belief that future events are influenced by specific behaviors, without having a causal relationship.

Believing in God is not a superstition.

Knocking on wood, not walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror brings 7 years bad luck, opening an umbrella indoors brings bad luck......these are all superstitions.

Well, most people are capable of doing the right thing simply for the satisfaction of helping others or making the world a better place. Of course, some people turn to crime, but that's going to happen with or without religion. There are millions of Christians in prison who may be (spiritually) just as resolved as anyone alive.

Not for that reason. The existence of god, heaven (award), or hell (punishment) is not a good reason to be a moral person. Besides, there is no evidence to show that theists are any less likely to commit crimes than atheists.
