Anyone have ideas of where or how I can do my community service. I have to do 50 hours by January. It wouldn't be a problem excpet they restricted my licence for the same 6 months that I have to get this done. I'm not allowed to drive anywhere to do it. I've already talked to my PO, and lawyer but the judge will not appove it. So anyway I live out in the middle of nowhere about 10 miles from town. My dad works days and I work nights... He goes in to work at 6 am and doesnt get home until i've already left for work so he cannot give me a ride. I have no friends that can help me either. They are the ***holes that got me into this problem in the first place. The only thing I can think of is that there is a fire station like less than a mile from here -- but is there really anything that I can do to help them?? Any ideas would be really great.

Also I cannot afford taxi rides that far. And there is no public trasportation out here.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

I wanted to do it at the SPCA (animal shelter) but I cannot get there-- their hours are the same as Dad's hours for work.

There are so many things that I wouldn't mind doing--- it's just that everything is 10 miles away.

Picture a small town with 2 stores and a fire station/rescue squad, and a maybe 100 houses... and that's it. Well there is a school like 4 or 5 miles from here...

It would not hurt to ASK at the Fire Station that is so close to you -- they would most likely be very happy to have someone help around the station -- doing simple chores that they need done -- it can include preparing the little treats they give out to kids when they make presentations, washing the trucks, helping them pass out information, helping firefighters make visits to the elderly residents to check on their fire alarms, etc. Just do not be afraid to ask.

By the way -- any places near you that collect for missions or churches or Goodwill or Waterfront Rescue Services or anything else? All of these organizations rely on volunteer hours -- and even rural areas have Goodwill or volunteer organizations.

Have your Probation Officer speak to the Fire Officials to arrange for you to perform your community service there. I'm pretty sure the firemen would welcome someone to wash the Firetruck and keep the place clean. Depending on how fast you want to get your service done, you can do it for several hours a day, a few days a week.

A bicycle would help. We used to bike from town to town when i was a kid. Are their elders or housebound individuals in your area that could use help around the house??? How about picking up trash around your neighborhood?? Study groups?? Free babysitting??? Do a food drive to assist the less fortunate???

i choose to advise working with developmentally challenged young ones. I did and it became a dazzling journey. They taught me lots. additionally outdated human beings properties are a solid theory, despite if that's particularly very unhappy and demanding artwork. Animal shelters, the purple go, and nutrition drives are additionally solid innovations. it is particularly helpful to objective calling right into a help warm line and asking the guy who solutions the telephone the thank you to get entangled. I thank you for desirous to volunteer, you're a solid individual.

Here's a few suggestions.

Volunteer at your local library.

Help out at some schools.

Pick-up trash along the road.

See if you can do "housekeeping" chores at the fire station.

Good luck!
