How do you have fun outside?

I reenact the American Civil War, portraying a regimental surgeon with the 12th United States Infantry, Company "A". I have an extensive collection of period and reproduction medical equipment, surgical instruments and can demonstrate the proper use of every one of 'em. The 145th Anniversary Reenactment of First Manassas (First Bull Run) just took place last month. Awesome!
My pards and I dress in authentic uniforms, carry authentic (and very real!) weapons, sleep in period accomodations (dog tents) and cook over open fires. We burn tons of black powder shooting at the other side and have entirely too much fun! Ever been awakened by a forty gun barrage from full-sized Civil War cannons? It happens all the time at the Antietam reenactment...

For your question I answer this in Four parts:

Individual Activities: Like hiking, fishing, sitting alone in a mountain cliff and draw some scenes those infront of you, swimming, driving long distance in the safe high way to get a proper solution for a problem etc.

With wife or GF alone: Swimming in a safe place, having couple of tots of good alchohol and packed warm good food, cycling and exclusively with GF love making!

With wife & children: As usual every one sees it at the week ends at the beach, resorts and visiting new places .

With friends and colleagues: It is a get together of entirely different one. First they should not discuss any subject about the work place environment. One can talk any nonsense and easily taken and forgotten there itself before leaving the place. So before leaving the place all of us keep silence for 5 minutes in meditation position and at the end we say good morning to each other as to feel that our new day is started.

Swim in the hottest weather and bicycle in 70 - 80 degree range. I also like to go to the zoo and enjoy the botanical gardens in the springtime. It's so damned hot in Texas, swimming is the only outdoor activity I enjoy in the summertime.

I get on the truck and go hunting, fishing, camping, motocross, and skiing. My dog and a bottle of bacardi go everywhere, except for motocross. Usually with friends, but my gf has started to like the camping weekends.

In the city, any kind of sport will do.
