No, that was the Ridgeback. I think they may have been bred for racing, but don't quote me on it. They certainly don't have the brave nature for hunting lions- they are lovers, not fighters. Beautiful temperments :)

Oh sure. Lions can't resist whippets. Leave some around, the lions start in on the whippets, they get the wa-wa-was, collapse and become very easy targets.

maybe, as you would tether a goat!, Whippets in england were just used for racing or poaching rabbits
