make sure it's actually bad before you go through all of the work to replace it! Fuel pump problems aren't very common on Chrysler products (unless you repeatedly run the tank empty...which is hell on any fuel pump). but it is in the tank, mounted from the top/back area, you will need to drop the tank to get to it...it's a pain, like every modern car.

you have to drop the tank and its on top, in the tank, its not hard to replace and doesnt take that long. go to www.neons.org and search for it. ive done it before and im not that great of a mechanic. . . i did it on my 96 that had a metal tank and bought a plastic tank from the junkyard out of a 95, my tank was rusty and made the pump go bad, then the on e i bought from the junkyard didnt work either, so i had to change that one lol

It is in the top of the fuel tank, you will have to drop the tank, please drain the tank first, then you be able to get to the fuel pump.
