I would say anything is possible. Before the internet there was pen pal mail that I have heard of people over the years of talking, fall in love and later get married. I would say that dating online is risky, but any relationship is. Just be careful and make sure you check into a good profile site. Try www.match.com or www.eharmony.com. Good luck to you.

I consider online dating just one of many ways to meet people. Some argue that it's easy to lie online or to pretend to be someone that you are not, but that happens in "real" life too--no matter what, you have to be cautious, use common sense, and give yourself time to get to know someone. Half of the men I have dated I have met conventionally, and half I have met online, and I've had 3 good relationships from the online group (I've been involved in one of those for the past 2-1/2 yrs), and none from the "regular" group.

Absolutely! I met my fiance online and I have a friend who met her husband online. You just need to be weary of where you meet them and the kind of things they tell you...elaborate crazy stuff, etc.
eharmony is a good site because people have to pay to be there, so chances are they're looking for the real thing too! It also gives you the opportunity to meet people outside of your area!! Good luck! :)

i think it really depends on the individual. if you think you might want to try it, then try it. then you'll know if it works. i really think you'll get 'yes it works' answers, and then you'll get the'oh hell no!' answers. if you want to do it, then try and see. if you don't like it, then you can go traditional and meet someone in your daily life. i'm sure there are some genuine people who have found love online. but just give it a shot if you are curious. don't disclose too much about yourself if you are not too sure. you know-- just test the waters so to speak. good luck to you. hope you do find love----somewhere!

it all depends on your honesty level.talking on-line can be tough to determine emotion or how to take things.i believe if your both very honest with eachother and have intentions on hookin up then anything is possible but as soon as 1 of you is caught in a lie the other should bail
