Im sure that hes crushin on u. but if hes not makin a move because of what his friends think then im sure that his self esteem issues need some workin on! But if he continues to act this way... then find another guy. Try to make him jealous and he might change his form of action. Good Luck!

I think he likes you but maybe he's also just shy to tell it to you. And yeah sometimes guys really do think about what their friends are going to say. Why not try to do this, try top approach him personally. if you think he's shy, just make him comfortable. Then you guys can talk about anything then maybe that can be his chance of telling you how much he likes you.

If he is awkward around you, can't talk right, there is a good chance there is something going on!

Probably the best way to know if a guy likes you is to simply ask him, but we all know that can be a challenge. So, here are a few clues to working out if he likes you as much as you like him.
Steps
Examine his body language. If he likes you, you will see that his body position will lean forward toward you.
Keep close. Ever get the feeling that somebody is "in" your personal space - so much so that you want to step back? If he likes you and you like him, neither of you will step back.
Make eye contact - if he likes you, he'll get it and hold it. Again, this can be uncomfortable if you don't like him or vice versa.
You'll know if you feel like you have held eye contact just a fraction of a second longer than you would with anyone else, or if he looks away quickly.
Be aware of touching - he might put his hand on your arm when he laughs, or not move his leg if it happens to touch yours. This is a very good sign that he likes you.
Keep an eye out. His pupils will dilate (get bigger) if he likes you - but this is quite hard to pick up on and you might look a bit weird looking that closely into his eyes.
See if he keeps going out of his way to 'bump' into you.
Watch for him showing interest in things you like and do.
Joke freely. Does he laugh even if you aren't funny?
Check for signs of nervousness: nervous laughter, sweaty palms, fidgeting...
Smile. A big smile in return probably means the feeling is mutual.
See if he always end up in the same line or group as you.
Ask! You can do this over AIM or email if you really are nervous.
Try to do it casually; he may ask if you like him first...say Yes!
Tell him you don't like mind games, and he'll likely follow your lead and be straighforward.
Tips
Does he make an extra effort to be around you in certain situations (dances, school, etc)? That could be a sign.
His friends might often ask you how you feel about him.
Chances are, if your stomach does a flip flop when you see him, his may be doing the same.
Smile, be yourself, and let biology and fate work their charms.
Try to look at the situation objectively. Ask friends you trust for their opinion.
The guy might like you but not know he likes you. If this is the case, try to put him into situations where he will realize that he enjoys spending time with you.
If you think he does like you, get him email/IM name and begin to talk to him online. This will help even the shyest guy get up the nerve to ask you out.
It is fine to flirt with boys but don't make it too obvious that you're flirting...he might think you're kind of weird.
If there is a rumor going around that you like this guy that you don't like...don't let it bother you too much. They'll see that it is bothering you and think that you actually do like them even though you might not!
You can always ask a friend to ask him - but that can backfire.
You can't really make someone like you - but the best way to be noticed is to be true to yourself, feel good about yourself and never do anything you don't want to do to get someone's affection.
Think about how you act when you like someone and look for those signs in others.
Wear lipgloss, mascara, and eyeliner, but that's it.
Always have clean, shiny, brushed hair.
Stand tall. It's the first thing they teach you at model school.
He might be shy, and act differently around you. Some guys are shy around girls they like, but very open to those they wouldn't really have a big relationship with. If he avoids you at school and talks to you after school and on weekends it means he's shy...it also means he might like you.
Warnings
Don't spend too long trying to find out or you may look like a stalker and this will also backfire.
Beware of friendly, outgoing guys. You might think he likes you but he might be like that with everyone and not realize how it is making you feel about him and his intentions.
The temptation to ask someone if he likes you is always present- this can get tricky if he doesn't, since now there are other people in the loop who know that you were shot down.
If he does not respond to you, either in the positive or the negative, if he seems to regard you as just another friend or just another girl, you may have to accept that he is not interested.
Don't be discouraged! There will be other boys!
If he seems comfortable talking to you about other girls, he probably does not like you in "that way."
