If the blood is coming from her backside... She is in heat. She doesn't need a male dog anywhere near her for her to come into heat. It will happen approximately once every 6 months regardless of a male being around or not. You can either cage her up or lock her into a room without carpet during this time. Or try those doggie diapers to avoid a mess all over your house. Don't worry. She is fine and it is absolutely normal. It will end in about 7-10 days. (keep her away from male dogs for 2-3 weeks or she could get pregnant)
If you mean the blood is coming from somewhere other than her backside, then I suggest a vet visit.

hope that helps.

I am not a vet, but if she has not been spayed and the spots are small, she is more than likely in heat. Her private area should be swollen as well. The bleeding will last for a few days. If you do not want to get her bred, keep her awat from any male dogs.

I dont think you need a vet to answer this question - your dog is on heat!

Go down to Pets R Us and buy some doggie sanitary pants and let her wear them for the next 10 days or so, until the bleeding stops and make sure she doesn't get lose or too close to any boy dogs!

Since you don't say whether or not the dog is injured, I'm gonna take a stab in the dark here. I know its not pleasant, but a ***** (female dog) will go into heat, whether or not there's a male nearby. If the dog isn't fixed, it's just the canine version of her period.

Are these little tiny blood spots? It could be from a bad flea infestation.

If she isn't spayed, PLEASE spay her. You don't need puppies. The world has too many unwanted puppies in it, and I'd hate to see more going to a shelter to be put down.

Either way a vet visit is in order.

Is her female part swollen? "Larger than normal size"
Is she licking the area?
Is the blood coming from there?

If all of the above is YES, She's in heat.
As the rest said.

Go to Wal-Mart, get some cloth baby dipers, pins to secure them and some panty liners. This will work perfectly! She's just in heat!

Is she spayed? If not she could be in heat. They usually go into heat every 6-8 months.

most likely she's in heat. it is normal for females to bleed while in heat. if you are worried, call your vet and tell the receptionist what is wrong and ask if you need to make an appointment.
