Can someone please help me with some breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas for my newly turned 1 year old? I was never a good cook to begin with. I need help. I want to see what everyone else is feeding their babies, and get some ideas. And please, no harsh comments. I am asking because I care and I want to improve.

My daughter turned one in March. Breakfast, I generally fed her cereal. Gerber makes a toddler cereal that seemed to work just fine. Sometimes I'd make her scrambled eggs. Bananas, pancakes, french toast, cereal bars (when I'm in a hurry), stuff like that.

Lunch, she normally gets some veggies and some fruit. Like a bowl of green beans, lima beans, or carrots, and then a banana, grapes, mixed fruit, peaches, whatever. Sometimes I'll give her a hot dog or grilled cheese.

Dinner, I'm now trying to give her what we eat, but when I can't, I usually give her the Gerber Pasta Pickups or one of those Chef Boyardee dinners. The individual ones. I also give her a fruit and/or veggie with dinner depending on what she's having.

My daughter will pretty much eat anything you put in front of her. If you start slowly with things, you'll figure it out. Just make sure you cut tougher foods into small pieces so it's not so hard to chew.

For breakfast you might try yogurt mixed with (baby food) fruit. Just make sure the little one can handle the milk product in the yogurt. Just make sure they don't get sick. It sits heavy in their stomach.

my daughter was breast fed till 15 months, but I gave her baby food and especially the cereals (she loved them and they have lots of vitamins) Gerber, Beechnut have a selection of rice, oatmeal and barley...save the Wheat one till your little one is 2 (in case of allergies). You can also make your own baby food, blend fruits such as Bananas, pears, peaches (no sugar added) vegatables like green beans, peas, corn, squash) ...hope this helps :-)

i gave my daughter potatoes, eggs, (sounds gross ) but i'd chew some things like ham chunks and give her it. (her teeth were to little to chew tough meats) i'd give her bananas, cheese, noodles, either soup or spagehti, the toddler cups of food, the have pre-made you just microwave it, Mushy cereal, mashed potatoes, turkey, rolled sandwich meats, pretty much anything, I would even give her milk shakes because she wasn't keeping up on putting on weight and the doctor told me any fat is good fat for toddlers under 3 .

My 1 year old eats whatever I am eating. I just make sure it is soft enough for her to chew.
