I feel embarrassed because im 29 and never got braces when i've always needed them. My mom never got them for me and i've never been able to afford them until now. But im so embarrassed, even when i just go to the dentist they tell me i need braces i was always embarrassed to tell them i couldnt afford them while 12 and 13 year olds have them. Is it too late? My teeth are pretty darn crooked,( and i have some good insurance now) I dont even smile in my pics. Im very pretty but my crooked teeth have made me ashamed to smile.

It's never too young as long as your have healthy teeth! My brother is a dentist and didnt get his till he was 22. Lots of parents can't afford them. I think it's great you want a pretty smile. Oh and my aunt had them when she was 36, so i would definetly say go for it hun!

I'm older than you, and if I had the chance to get braces when I was your age, I would have done it. I've settled for veneers instead.
What difference does your age make? Wouldn't you like to have the experience in your life of having normal, attractive teeth, or do you want to be stuck with what you've got for the rest of your life?
There's also an option called Invisalign, which are invisible braces, but they're more expensive than the regular kind.
You don't need to be ashamed of yourself the way you are now, but if you can make an improvement and you can afford it, why not? Life is too short not to give yourself what you deserve.

You are never too old to get braces. I have friends who have had them in their late 20's for the same reasons that you state. They couldn't afford them until they were a little older. The only problem really with having them when you are a little older is that your teeth can take longer to move, but it's worth it. I would suggest you go for it.

No, 29 is not too old at all. It would only take about a year, and it would allow you to have good teeth for many years to come. Don't be embarassed to be 'older' with braces. Be proud that you are doing something productive for yourself.

No, you can get braces anytime. But look into the "invisible" braces, like Invisalign that way you can wear them without the
metal mouth effect. A friend of mine did this at 35, she is sooo
happy now that she did. Go for it!

I'm 13 and i have braces but i dont think your to old my aunt had hers when she was 37, because her mom couldnt afford it either when she was younger. & a lot of people who work for my orthodontist have braces & they are adults too.

In less than three years, u put braces on ur teeth, u stop eating fast food, you stop drinking any sugar drinks, only then it is worth it, to have braces on yur teeth, otherwise, why even bother, having braces, if u eat fast food, u die

NO way Hon!!! :) My sister is 34 and has braces. She looks prettyful! Tom cruise had them and showed them all around a couple years ago. I am 29 and thinking of getting them myself. :)
