Personally I measure success in terms of happiness.
If I have done good work towards the achievement of my personal goals, if I have tried to be a good person and hurt no one, if I have taken responsibility for my own life and actions -- then I have every reason to be happy about my life.
What things I have acquired along the way do not factor into the equation very much, though I will confess to succumbing to the desire for things from time to time.

Success is keeping the faith and never giving up no matter what life throws at you. To enjoy the good times and remember them through the bad.
At the end of the day - if you haven't given up on God and stuck the business end of a 45 caliber in your mouth and ended it all - You have had success.

Knowing that because of your presence, other lives have been improved and the world and its inhabitants are better off because of your words or actions. Its a shame but the greatest measure a successful life is the number/type of people at your funeral.

Success if measured by who you are, how you present yourself, and who you surround yourself with. Success is not measured by bank account or assets.
I would much rather be successful as a HUMAN being than to be monetarily successful.
Kindness, generousity, and care. Not for yourself, but for everyone. If you accomplish this, then everything else falls into place.

Oh my what a suprise to see 100% of your replies to say something a beauty pagent model would say on stage, but you KNOW they NEVER MEAN IT.
I'm pretty sure every single one of you could be swayed from your claims of success for ONE BILLION DOLLARS!
Well my definition of success is simple unlike all yours, it's simply to set a goal and complete it, success!

Self-satisfaction. If I'm happy with myself, then that means I'm successful. Unfortunately, I'm not feeling very satisfied at the moment. Perhaps it's all these negative answers I'm seeing about religion and junk.

Doing the job that you always wanted to do, being happy doing it, and getting paid to do it too. Now, that's success!

Success for me is doing the will of God in my life. Sometimes I don't feel like doing it. But I know it is for His Good Purpose.

Self satisfaction, happiness levels, and I think the lower your desire to measure your success, the greater it is.
