You should follow the guidelines on the package, each dog food brand is different, usually the more expensive (the one available at the vet's or the brands like Royal Canin, Eukanuba, Hill's), the more nutritious and the lesser dose you have to feed.
Just remember, these are the guidelines, it also depends on your dog's activity level, if it's a working dog (if you practice agility, play outside a lot) or a hyper energetic breed (like miniature pinscher, jack russell) they tend to burn more calories.
You should check your dog's ribs to see if he's not underfed or overweight, you should be able to feel his ribs but they shouldn't show too much either.
I hear pugs (like cockers) love to eat and you must be careful that you don't overfeed your dog. An obese dog is NOT a healthy dog, they could get heart failure later in life.
As for how many times per day, it would all depend on his age, a young puppy needs to be fed several times a day, then you reduce times of feeding the older he grows. I have two dogs myself and I only feed them once a day in the evening, they actually like it better that way. You can also give food twice a day, half in the morning, half in the evening.
A vet told me one should never feed a dog past 8pm, as they should digest before they go to sleep and dog's metabolism is slower than human's.
Hope this helps!

Twice a day. The pug should get about 3/4 to 1 can of regular Science Diet a day. I've had several pugs and that's what I feed them.

If he is under 1 year, he needs fed 3 times per day, what ever he will eat in 10-15 minutes..Just see how much and then feed that much each time..
if he is over a year, he can be fed twice per day..about 1 1/2 cups if he is active, or 1 1/4 cup twice per day if he is a couch potato..
Don't feed kibble with corn or soy..These cause skin problems in pugs..Canidae, Wysong, Wellness, Innova, or Solid gold..will keep him heathiest now, and in his old age...These premium brands cost more per bag, but less per month..and less in vet bills, as your pet ages..
You won't find any kibble worth feeding at your grocers, no matter what the ads say...

First of how old is the dog? puppy..adult ..senior..?
2nd on the bag of food you feed your pug it should give you a feeding chart. Most foods have it or on their website it will have it so you feed them the correct amount and correct times for their health to maintain stable~

It depends on its size and age. I have a 12 pound dog, she is 8
and not as active as in the past, she gets fed twice a day, in the
morning just a sprinkle of kibble (like 15 or so) with a tablespoon
of cottage cheese, than in the evening 1/3 cup of kibble with
2 teaspoons of a chicken soup I make for her (chicken, brown
rice and uncooked carrot slices added after cooking) This keeps
her happy and her weight stable. I also have a larger foster
dog that is younger and very energetic, he gets twice as much
in the am and 1 cup kibble with the soup in the evening. They
only get 1 treat just before bed....

You don't want to overfeed him. I have two dogs of my own. During the day they are allowed to have a cup each of dried dog food - they can eat it whenever they want a snack. At night, we give them wet food. One dog is smaller than the other, so he gets about a third of the large canned wet dog food, and the larger dog gets two thirds.
So basically, you can give him/her dry food during the day, but not more than a cup or cup and a half. Around 9:00PM, you can give him half of the canned wet dog food.
Keep in mind that if your dog is more active, feed him a tiny bit more than you would if it were laying around all day.

ok frist thing is you should only feed your pet once day becuz if you feed him to much he or she may get fat and that would be bad for the dogs health. ok and now all you have to do now is to get a small blow and fill it up. and there you have it.
