my gums are swollen and bleed when i brush my teeth. i know that flossing will help with the swollen part but i cant get the floss threader through cuz of my gums. and my wire is stabbing the back of my mouth and my parents cant take me to get them cut cuz they both work alot and my mom usually forgets to make an appointment to get them cut.

Put wax on the wire that is poking you and if it does not stick chew some sugar free gum and put it on the poking wire and chew it every few min. (it helped me that way) Take some pain killers and ask a friend if his/her parents can take you with your parents permission to do it. Just call the dentist office if you get somebody to take you and ask them when you can come in. Hope this helps!

Did you just get them on? The first few days are the worst. Keep wax on the wire that is poking you and take some ibuprofen. You should start feeling better soon.

I know they tell you NOT to chew gum. But sugarless gum is okay and chewing it really helps relieve the soreness in your mouth. I'd also take some ibeproufen.

maybe youre allergic to your braces. but if your parents are too busy, call the office and ask them about your situation. they might be able to help you.
