is it not the right jihad?

i know that islam is a peace loving religion. i also know that the terrorism in the name of jihad is against islam. these terrorists are spoiling the reputation of islam. now is it not jihad to fight these terrorists? is it not jihad to fight against these people who are bringing bad name to islam? y is no one coming up to fight these terrorists in the name of jihad? is it not the right thing to do?

look i will tell u my point of view no matter what other ppl will think.
1. Jihad was asked from God to Muslims in order to spread Islam and not to Kill.
2.to was asked from God when there was no other way to solve political problems with non Muslims.
3. what we see today on TV has nothing to do with Islam.
4. A real Muslim will never ever be a terrorist.
5. those ppl bombing there selves every where thinking that they are doing something good to Islam are mistaken.
6. in few cases i consider self bombing fine. like in Palestine. coz face to face fights are sometimes impossible with Israeli. since they always hide and escape. and Palestinian people can't just set and see their kids and families dying.
7. there are lots of terroristl action that were done already and i hope that every body can understand that it was done by non Muslims.
8.and finally,never worry about Islam.it's just a bad period of time that Islam goes through. it's not the right time for Muslims at all. there will come the day...

Son, are you a Muslim and have not realized that only a handful of Muslims say anything against the terrorist Muslims killing Muslims and Christians?

I would think they would be enraged at least about the slaughter of Muslims by Muslims. If the majority of Muslims would fight against these murderous tyrants - THEN - the world might feel that perhaps Islam is just being used by terrorists instead of Islam being a terrorist religion.

But the vast majority do not speak out against the senseless slaughter of Muslims at the hand of Muslims. They only join together over stupid cartoons that no doubt don't even look like Muhammad, and over accidental deaths of Muslims by others fighting the war against terrorists.

Speak out if you will, see if you can get other Muslims to join your voice - but odds are, you wont get enough to make a difference. Its really sad.

You are a rare Muslim. But, again don't try adopt the terrorists ways to fight against terrorism like the Americans do. What Islam can do is openly condemn terrorism. For that the religious leaders and Political leaders of Islamic countries should come forward. Otherwise it is meaningless. Through all medias they should do it effectively.

I am a Muslim and I agree with you 100%. If Islam today was like that of the olden days, what you said would have already happened, for the Muslims used to help the oppressed and fight against whoever was committing injustice (e.g. conquest of Spain, Egypt... and thats how Islam actually spread)

But seeing how these terrorists have ignorant supporters - not necessarily followers, but regular Muslims who think they're doing good because they're attacking the "West", both innocent and guilty - this might cause a rift between Muslims and escalate to a bigger war if a certain country or nation was to oppose them (plus remember, like other faiths, countries..not everyone is willing to go to war or fight).

I hate to admit it, but it seems as if Muslims nowadays need the slightest spark, and they become very susceptible to fight others and each other (e.g. Sunni/Shi'a conflicts, though we are brothers in faith, they kill each other even while people are praying in mosques. How can they call themselves Muslims?).

Finally, you have to remember that not all of those terrorists' enemies are in fact right or just: take for example Hezbollah and Israel. I despise Hezbollah, but i have to say that what they did was not unreasonable: they took 2 israeli soldiers captive; in response, Israel destroyed a whole country and blamed it on Hezbollah: they amputed an already weak country's economic power and killed more than 600 people for 2 soldiers. and it's not like they dont have Hezbollah captives. They have hundreds of them, but they were not willing to make a trade - let me remind you, they were already fighting Hezbollah. So is a trade that unreasonable?? and did they really have to bomb every bridge, phone stations...?? what does that have to do with Hezbollah?

As for those ignorant terrorists who try to bomb every subway station, every building, just for the sake of killing westerners, well obviously that's stupid and 100% wrong. and trust me, true Muslims hate them, and i am one of them. I probably hate them more than you do - or even americans - because not only are they killing innocent people, but they're also driving people against Islam.

No jihad is right. If terrorism means : killing of the innocent, it should be stopped definitely. But if it against the draconian state system which oppresses people nationally and globally in the name of nationalism, religion & so-called democracy...one has to support it.

salaam alaicoum... jihad means many things... one can have their own jihad like trying to stay away form somethinging that is not good for them and fighting the impulse to keep doing it... that is a personal jihad.. as for terrorism.. what are we talking about here.. is not america a terrosist because they interfere in the lives of others and because they seem to be a bigger power than the rest of the world.. use this to terroise others into being the way that america wants them... is not israel a terrosit for what they are doing in lebanon......... think clearly about this my friend..... there are many types of jihad here and we as muslims.. need to fight those against US.. you either stand for islam or you do not

What can we do, brother? We don't even know who amongst us IS a terrorist, much less stop him. If you have any suggestions, this muslimah would certainly like to know. All I can do is educated on what Islam really says and destroy stereotypes. A terrorist can be anybody.
