Its been all night. What could it be? It feels bruised or as if i got hit.

Maybe you hit a nerve while you were walking around.You can tick those suckers off and not even realize it. Due, if you are worried about breast cancer...see your DOC.

Can almost guarantee it is not breast cancer.
It's a good idea to go to the doctor or hospital just in case it is a heart thing, but likely you strained your muscles and may not even remember doing it. Sometimes a muscle strain, especially in the chest or shoulder, doesn't hurt much at the time, but hurts more in a day or two.

If your left arm starts hurting or going numb, yes, go to the ER. This could be a symptom of a stroke or heart attack. I am not trying to scare you, but you are asking for advice.

It could be one of several things. However, I strongly suggest you go to the doctor first thing in the morning. If it gets worse, go to the emergency room. That is a possible sign of a heart attack.

does it happen to you when it is time for your cycle? I was having pain like that and and it was only on my left side. i went to the doctor and found out that i had fibromyalgia. its a type of arthritis. it is probably best that you visit your doctor just to rule out anything serious.
