I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ.

Rather than hating Jesus, I think many people hate the talismanic use of his name.

The most dogmatic, judgemental and least open minded kind of Christians seem to be the same ones always throwing around the name of Jesus (usually pronounced as JEEEEzus) and claiming to be personal buddies of his.

I get that the teachings associated with Jesus Christ can and do resonate down through the ages, can be meaningful in the lives of people today and form the basis of a healthy moral code. But anyone who believes that they have a personal relationship with a person who may have lived more than two thousand years ago comes across as delusional, not convincing.

For the same reason that people don't like Aesop's Fables or Mother Goose. Many people don't approve of the idea that you guide your very being on the main character of a fiction bedtime story to teach lessons that are better founded on common sense. Jews and non-Christians/Muslims don't take much stock out of him because their heart and conscience tells them that otherwise. It isn't Jesus that hate, its the ideas and standards in the story's plot, that surround the character.

because more people have faught and died in jesus's name than any other religeon.

Furthermore, our idiotic president has decided to blur the lines between church and state - thus causing major problems for us in the world.

How?

When he says bring "freedom" to the iraqi people - he really means "jesus".

Guess what, they dont want him.

And now... with a world war hanging over our heads, our military is over extended.

We may not win this one.

Why?

At the end of the day... Its jesus.

Oh... and virgins dont give birth.

Nor is jesus the son of god.

He was SUPPOSED to come back in 2001. Did he? No.

But you guys have changed the rules to suit your needs. You guys will change any rule to keep the bible "true".

For shame.

I don't think that its that they don't like him, its just that they were raised with different ideologies, a different theology or they have not found a reason to turn to a "religion or idea" for help or guidance. Others maybe too into their beliefs what ever they might be and might believe that he does or didn't exist. There are also some stupid and ignorant people who don't respect others and their beliefs and choose to make stupid comments with out learning about a religion or idea and make themselves look like idiots who just talk out of their a**!

How one earth would someone even be able to form that kind of opinion over someone who has either been dead for a very long time or didn't exist in the first place... I have no opinion other then that I do not believe in this person...

Some people don't believe in him and are tired of hearing about him all the time.

It's like if you hear a song on the radio, and it's a really good song, but it gets played over and over and over again. After hearing it or hearing about it for the millionth time, you're probably sick of it and don't want to hear anything about it anymore.

Mostly I just don't like his followers. I don't even realy see evidence that he existed, therefore not liking him is erevelant. But I don't like how he stole a donkey, lied to his friends, attacked a fig tree and merchants in the bible.

He was not portrayed as a very good role model in the bible.

some people just think they know better, or they might have been brought up with another faith. it's the glory of the nature of humanity. if we all thought the same way, don't you think it would get a bit boring? personally, i think Jesus is a cool dude, it's the followers that kinda screw things up.

This is nothing new, they didn't like him when he was walking alongside with people... I have a theory... Because he is perfect, and thusour imperfections becoem more obvious, and some people can't stand the thought that they aren't perfect... Some people would rather live in denial than live.
