To stop smoking is very easy, the hard part is the resolve to keep it that way, not to go and have another one when tempted by the smell and sight of someone smoking,I gave up smoking over23 years ago yet I could go and light one up very easily if I let myself, it is a long and hard battle, so what you need to do is to resolve yourself for that battle you really need to prepare for the decision to stick to it and not give int hen make a date to start and keep it because uyou only need to weaken a little to give in big I do not envy you at all, and would hate to go through it again that is one reason that I have kept away from those cancer sticks for this long, if you are really serious you can do it, and I would be glad to keep in contact with you and encourage you if you will, to stay on the path of being a non smokerjust let me know your serious intent, email me!

If you smoke menthol, smoke the other type or vice versa. Start by cutting back, don't tell yourself that you are quitting (that part really freaked me out) slowly cut back and ask yourself do I really need the smoke right now can I wait another 10 minutes etc. Wear a rubber band around your wrist and whenever you have a craving, flick the band so it hurts you and somehow that sends a message to your brain that cravings = pain. Good luck

Go to the Oncology dept. of a medical center, where chemotherapy is administered to cancer patients. Sit in the waiting room for an hour & observe the condition of all the lung & throat cancer patients waiting to be called. It's not pretty. If that doesn't scare the bejeeebas out of you, then you will probably end up there someday.

i was a cab driver for nine years, and when i started driving a school bus, i was not allowed to smoke on the bus, so i would put a white ink pen in my mouth while i drove the school bus and would pull it out of my mouth like it was a cigarette, and put it back in my mouth.
after doing this for a couple weeks, i start to cut back on my smoking and eventually quit.
and that did not cost me any money because i did not have to buy the patch, or gum or anything else used to make you quit.

I quit smoking cigarettes years ago cold-turkey. One day I thought about what my lungs must look like, and that was enough to make me quit. I never smoked again.
