I know not all Atheists are jerks but Id like to know how many here think this is funny. Someone here emailed me calling me a "queer" because of my picture I explained the picture and asked them to visit my 360 page... upon seeing I have cancer, the IM me with this:
ric_zenbach: you getting a girl friend is an "impossble dream". The cancer got to your brain if you can't spell. Plus, you lie, guys don't bald until they are old... your body and mind suck really bad. Be like me. You can be my apostle... or my ***** if you didn't have cancer. If I wore a condom could I still catch it? LOL

I hope it's not the majority of the non-christians that think this comment is funny?

That was obviously a dumb kid trying to be funny on mom's computer while his dufus 12 year old friend laughed his uneducated butt off.
I'm not an atheist but I am not a "believer" in your path either, but I am sorry someone so insensitive had to ruin your day.
Get well soon!

I am Christian, and find nothing amusing or funny in that statement. People whine about what's wrong with the world, or about "so & so did this or that", when the first step is within each and every one of us. RESPECT seems such a hard concept for some to grasp and comprehend, let alone practice. So why not step up to the plate so to say, and teach by demonstration. Show respect.
By showing someone respect doesn't necessarily mean you agree with what they think, believe, say, etc... but it will show that even though you may disagree you still have respect for them as an individual.

I have had several family members diagnosed with varying forms of cancer, so I can empthasize with your situation. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep your head held high, and be proud. There are many of us out here that are proud of you.

May God bless you, and fill you with his Holy Spirit.

I find your question confusing. I see little in your question that deals with the belief that there is no God. I see that you have cancer, which you may or may not recover.

When I was sick and dying, I found my focus changed. Some days would be harder than other would, and as I got worst and worst, people distance themselves, because with my death, they die a little. Even the medical staff was kind, but there was little kindness needed by dying person.

My world became conscious to unconscious, with very high fevers and very low chills. I had resigned myself to death, with some regrets, something undone. Yes, the physical was everything. One memory of that time is when is the attendant came in his usual round; he looked at me and said, "I thought I lost you last night". There was little in his voice that I would recover.

I got better but there was no cure. I have the frequent number of pills, too many pills that allow me to function. I have learned that we are born and we will die, and what we do with that time (brief as it might be) is ours, and in your case, yours.

I am sick every day for the rest of my life; it is genetic – not aids. Now I am between living and dying, but when I wake up to another day, how I live that day is what is important.

Most people who know me well ask how it feels to be alive. I smile and say great. That is just another lie to make them feel comfortable. No one likes the dying; it is too personal for them.

There will come a time, when the physical wears out. How will you live those days? My answer is to what you believe. I have my beliefs (doubts if you like), but I know that if I am lucky, I will use them one day at a time.

Forgive the length of my response. It is not directed to the model atheist, but to model you.

That is not funny at all. Im not very religious (not christian), that doesnt make a difference, its whether or not you have morality that is more important. obviously the person who wrote this about you did not. Someone of any religion could have put that up, regardless of who it was, it is horrible. Im sorry for you having cancer and also that you find yourself putting up with idiots with no moral structure. Take Care and Blessed Be.

I'm agnostic, myself. I don't buy into religion. But I don't see how any of what he said to you has anything to do with his religion. That has nothing to do with him being an atheist, he's just a jerk. You really can't take someone bad, pick out something totally irrelevant about them, and decide that it must be bad, too. Or that they are a typical representation of everyone sharing the particular trait you've singled out. Plenty of christians, atheists, agnostics, jews, etc. are just as bad, if not worse.

Sure it is. atheists are biblical scriptural scoffers. They love hate and hurt. This is exactly why God has shunned them and ther'ye lives are wrecks. They want you to hurt like they do.
read Pslams 1. 1-3. Read the study text if you have you have it. Read the study text on all of these verses I have marked. Christians are in danger of even talking to them from God Himself. hellooooooo???

Here is what God says by His own words about them.

BIBLE: KJV according to sourses:
What does God call them? Preach love to them? Lets see what God says, to do with them.

You have unbeliever's, Chaff, Scoffers.

An Atheist is a "scoffer". The WORD of God, clearly tells, ATHEISTS are filhty rags they are, and to stay away from them, and avoid them. We are NOT to plant seeds. God knows it is useless and that is why he tells us, "You stand firm against them" ( Jer.17:8 14:1 Iah 44:4) You disassociate them completely. Any Believer that does not abide in God's own Word, does not know God, according to God Himself.
Atheists are "chaff" A simile of the wretchedness of the wicked. Chaff is carried away by the lightest wind, and it's removal brings about cleansing by extracting what is utterly useless. (Ruth 1:22). They will NOT stand in the judgment. They will NOT be able to withstand God's wrath when He judges.( Pslams 76:7 Exra 9:15). This is not my opinion, this is God's very own Words, in the Bible. You know, the BIble? The same Bible atheist scholars quote. There is a reason God, said this. Psalms.1.1-3 Jer. 17:8 14:1 12. 1-2 18:9-10 Prov1.10-19 (vs 5) scoffers:(atheists) those who ridicule God and definatley reject His Law. Prov 1.:22 Ruth 1:22 Jer 18:7 (pull down-destroy) 1:10 (evil-calamity) 18:11

Pslams 1:
godly wisdom here, declare the final outcome of the two "ways". The paths of "sinners" (unbelievers) and the "way of the righteous. he speaks progressively of assoociation with the ungodly and participation in they're ungodly ways.

God said it. End of Story. Jesus Himself said "Let the dead bury they're dead".

Use all the Internet and Dictionaries they want to and call themselves anything they wish. God "defined" what they are by His own Holy Word.

They can hang a dog tag* around they're neck in the pits if hell itself and separate each other by name categorically.

God's Word said it. By God's definition. They are nothing but filthy rags. There is NO opinion.

Hate? Where do you get hate? If God's TRUTH is hate too you, then, so be it. You and God, can and will discuss the means of your scriptural interpretation, consisting with a man-made defacto on a motion of plea bargin I guess. I dunno.

I W I L L . P R A Y . F O R . A L L . A T H E I S T S. :)

Sickening. Although you may not be an atheist Buddhist like myself, I hope that you are healed and comforted and not surrounded by such cruelly misguided individuals, that cover the spectrum of humanity, atheist, mono-, and polytheistic.

It's a shame that people act that way. I'm starting to get tired of the Political section of Yahoo Answers.

How would anyone think that's funny? What a jerk! I mean, really, how slimy can you be? I guess some people are just wretched. Don't take it personally. And no, that's not average non-christian. Both of my best friends are atheist, and they would be disgusted by that.

That's awful, what a dumb F-ing thing to say.
I'm an Athiest, I would never say anything like that or find it funny.

Some ppl are just a$$holes, has nothing to do with belief or non-belief in god(s) or goddess(es).

Once a Christan woman, told my brother, that maybe he would end up in terrible car crash, get paralyzed and then he would turn to god. - What a sick 8itch, to wish that on my brother !

Not in my experience. All faith systems have their share of jerks and worse, but the Atheists (and Pagans) I know tend to be very kind and caring people. I would bet that particular fool doesn't have any system of belief at all.
