Well, lets be realistic, every person when they turn 21 goes drinking... so the question shouldn't be should you start drinking but should you start drinking responsibly... Never Drink and Drive. and always have a designated driver. and Drink in moderation, winding up in the hospital is not a cool way to end your 21st birthday.
Drinking is definatly not as cool as everyone makes it out to be but it also is not the evil that it is painted by many. So long as you don't abuse it. it will not harm you. Organ damage, alcoholism and other injuries occur from over consumption.

If you want to you can. Does that mean you've never drank before? My first drink was when I was 17 and I've drank off and on since then. There's been a couple of times where I've gotten kinda sick from drinking too much and got a hangover the next morning. Come to think of it though, I just turned 21 the beginning of July and I've just lost alot of the desire to drink. It's not as big as it's hyped up to be. Start drinking if you want to, just be responsible and don't drive after you've been drinking. And don't throw up in a friend's car or on their living room floor. And don't get violet and irate. Just have a good time and don't get crazy ; )

im so amazed by this in da states...it always seems lik such a big deal. I live in belgium and im 13 and i always hve a glass of wine say every week wit my family. and thn with my frends we can still go into my local night shop and get some beer or bacardi breezers. we're not stupid and we don't overload on it...we jst get a bit giggly and thers always at least 3 who dont drink to tell us to sober up and stop it...and believe u me we listen to them. its not such a big deal if ur smart enough it just seems like in the states it turns into a big deal with the whole 21 thing...here the drinking age is 16 but many teenagers drink moderately anywayz. i think if such a big deal wasnt made out of it, it wouldnt be such a big problem and kids wouldnt jst drink for the sake of it being illegal.

Despite being legal, alcohol is a highly toxic substance that leads to the early demise of hundreds of thousands of people every year through accidents, alcoholism, organ damage, and cancers. It is also highly addictive. Just because a thing is legal and perhaps your friends are doing it doesn't mean that it is healthy or good for you to do for any reason. Altering your consciousness is your choice, but think carefully about what you put in your body. It is, after all, the only body you'll ever have and when it fails, that's it.

Everyone saying "oh no, don't drink, I can have way more fun without alcohol" has never tried it and doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. Go ahead and try it, don't just sip a beer and say it tastes like horse-piss, actually go to a bar and try some drinks, trust me it'll be a fun time.

You should be asking yourself this question... Do you want to? There's nothing wrong with drinking a little or trying it. But trust me you really don't want to become an alcoholic or drink frequently, and obsessively.. Because puking, alcohol poisoning and getting arrested aren't fun. Think things out before you do/choose to do them, and the consequences of your decisions you don't want to regret your choice.. good luck! Ciao!

The worse thing someone could do is to tell someone not to drink, because that is exactly what they will do. It isn't all that. Nothing good can come from it, but if you decide to try it make sure you are responsible. You know, designated driver and all that.

If you don't already, there's no need to start. If you have a taste for "fine beverages" then go ahead... Just remember that alcohol is expensive ($3-$8 each at the bar, plus tips, and up to $30 per bottle of distilled spirits), and hangovers suck, and you'll never go to excess.

In moderation, there are many types of alcohol that taste great. However, don't start "drinking" just for the sake of drinking.
