Yes, I do this often too. I also purchase after Christmas sales, and stock up on toys for the next year.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Best thing to do is buy clothes around the end of the season, like start buying summer clothes for next year now and most everything for the summer is over 50% off and they already have the fall clothes out....I did this last winter, when they started putting spring stuff out I went to Children's place and didnt spend more then $5.00 for beautiful sweaters that she will have this year and actually wore already since we had a couple of chilly spring days....

Yes I do. I think its trifty shopping lol. Actually I go a little over board or so i'm told b/c I will buy like a year ahead of time. My oldest child has a few things that wont fit her for maybe another year but I got it at a great deal and I really liked it. But especially for babies its important b/c they grow out of clothes so quickly. My 3mo oldhas clothes all the way up to 2T but I also have a 2 yr old but when I had my first child I would buy her clothes all the way up just to help out in the future. I hope you have a wonderful time shoppin for ur little one. I love shopping for my girls.

Yes! When our daughter was about 2 months old, I bought her three fleeces (12 mo., 18 mo., 24 mo.), a dress (12 mo.), and a dragon costume (just for fun... 2T!). We do a lot of our clothes shopping in thrift stores. When I see something that I like, even if it won't fit her for a few years, I'll pick it up. It can't hurt to have some things in storage if you have the space.

my parents are like that. they make me buy clothes that are bigger for me, so that they save money and time i guess. they believe the clothes will shrink and it'd be a waste after just a few months, so they buy a bigger one.

I do buy my son's clothes one size bigger sometimes because I don't like him wearing tight clothes. Also, because they last longer.
