I would look through some magazines and pick styles that most fit your hair type and the styles you are most interested in. I have combined styles from a couple of pictures to fit what my client wants and what she can work with the best. Don't be afraid to pick several different styles and ask if she can combine them for you...if that is what you want.

I think you need to make up your mind. You want a drastic hair cut, but don't want it cut too short. Since you have shoulder length hair right now, a super short cut would be drastic, most anything else would just be a hair cut.

You don't have to worry about looking like a boy, if you accessorize. I went from a bob last month to a complete buzz cut and right now I'm shaving it once a week. Soon I'll get tired of it and let it grow out some, but not passed my shoulder.

To pull off a drastic look like mine, I make a point of wearing nice dresses and skirts almost all the time. Some cool ear rings will also give you a more feminine look. Doing a good job with your make-up is essential. Last and certainly not least you got to have attitude. You can be a very girly girl with long hair, short hair or no hair. The thing that makes me proud to be without hair for a period of time, is knowing that when it was buzzed off, it went to Locks of Love. If I don't send it to them, it goes to Wigs for Kids. I've done this for seven years now and plan to continue as long as my hair is suitable for donation.

I would suggest you try a nice pixie cut or crop cut. Both are drastic but you still have hair. Like I said work the attitude with the accessorizing and no one will mistake you for a boy.

Hope this helps.

HEY AB_OVA_HERE,

hm. it all depends on the shape of your face. if your face is like keira knightley, then i say go for a pixie cut just like hers. keep it girly. put gel through it to look fluffier, and you can accessorize by putting ascarf with it. if you don't like that, then i would say to do something you haven't done before. ever. look in hairstyle magazines. they always help. but i would focus more on the short hairstyle magazines. they always have something that you like. good luck! ~
