Do you think God planned it to be this way? YES.......here's why....

1 Cor. 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God WAS WELLPLEASED through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.......

...27 but God has CHOSEN the foolish things of the world to SHAME the 'WISE', and God has chosen the weak things which are strong,........

29 that no man should boast before God.

31 that, just as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."

The foolishness discussed in these verses is the Gospel of Jesus, a man wise in the world sees the message of the bible as foolishness. Where as a christian sees higher wisdom.

Not that I agree with the 'atheists are smarter than Christian's' argument but, I agree with David (an above answerer). Those Bible verses clearly work against you and for atheism.

I dont think either side is smart in trying to argue about something that can never be resolved. let us focus on creating a heaven on earth and worry about the one in the next life, later is what i think.

Sorry but quoting the bible will not furthur your point since atheists/agnostics do not believe in the bible. That itself makes us smarter than you because we don't believe things that aren't proved to be true.

and came forth from the land of Baalam
and did feast on the rocks
and did smite the hippy
and saw that it was good

There you have it folks, God intended for his people to be ignorant. Is that the Christian excuse or a self-fulfilling prophecy?

I don't think either is smarter then the other. Each person is entitled to their own beliefs.
