Would be bad form for me to get my money back for a bad ******** from girl friend? I mean I bought her a movie and dinner but the blow was horrible. I think I should ask for her half back.

No you are not rude. These days people need to be doing their job right and stop doing half baked jobs. People want to get paid full time and do half the work. Sounds like you are doing the right thing by asking for your money back.
$110 is a lot of money and why should you spend one more dime to get something corrected that they should have done right in the first place? If the woman says that she will not refund your money, file an online complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB online) and they will take care of the complaint, at least have it on record.
Don't spend any money where you feel you aren't getting the services or the quality that you deserve. You know in your gut that she did not do the job right, so stand up for yourself and ask for your hard earned money back!

This is a touchy one. Being that I am a professional hairdresser. If it were me doing the job and you gave me a chance to fix the problem and you still were not happy I would give you at least half of your money back due to the time involved. I would also offer to do something else to try to make you happy like some deep hair treatments or something that didn't involve color. She should never have added the blonde highlights unless you gave her permission to do so. Considering that she didn't have the formula that your normal guy had then you pretty much took your chances and sometimes this kind of thing happens. I'm sure she didn't mean for it to happen. She may not have had the kind of color experience you needed.

I don't think its rude. 110$ is a lot of money and you should expect to get what you ask for. If your are not satisfied ( i wouldn't be) go back and ask. You already went once and she still didn't fix it good enough so you should go back and get your refund I would.
I wouldn't want to walk around with orange hair knowing I dished out 110 dollars for a mess.

NO it's not rude! You need to go straight to the owner of the Salon and explain the situation. You didn't get what you paid for!
You either deserve to get a complete redo, or get your money back! Just like in any other retail. You wouldn't keep a broken item that you had ordered on line or from a catalog in the mail would you? No, you would return it for a new one.
Go get your hair the way you want it ! Don't let them get away with that!!!

Go back and speak with the manager. I am sure she worked hard on it, especially since she fixed it but still, apparently she did not have the proper training and someone needs to teach her anyway. Don't feel bad, YOU are the one walking around with orange roots, not her. Ask for all of it back, because your problem is not even close to being fixed!

most salons will refund your money back if your not satisfied. there was some code or regulation concerning colorings/highlights/color-overs, etc. stating that if there was damage (to your hair) by the salon, they have to either 1.refund your money, 2. fix the problem (in your case redo your color completely and provide deep conditioning, blonde does major damage to the structure of the hair). this code/regulation may not be for all states. but i was taking to my stylist' in California and Texas

talk to the owner of the salon and see about having your regular person fix it at no charge to you.
Any salon worth any thing would not let you walk out looking that way.
If they will not fix it, ask for a refund. It would not be rude if you gave them a chance to fix it.

Tell the salon owner that you are not happy with the work and you want a refund, or, wait until your normal hair guy is back at the salon, so he can re-do your hair. Whichever you feel most comfortable doing..

You absolutely have the right to ask for your money back! If they don't want to refund your money than they should give you services for free.
I should have done it on 2 occasions, but was too shy to do it. (Not anymore! I am older and wiser.)
Try washing your haid with Palmolive dish soap. It is supposed to wash color out faster. Also make sure you condition your hair like crazy. I had a horrible foil job and then when they went back to fix it, my hair dryed out from all the color...

Oh girl, HELL TO THE NAW! Speak to the manager at once. Make them make amends for the hair faux pas. If that doesn't work, then demand your money back. You went there for a service and they did a horrid job! You're not being rude at all. You earned your money, you wanted to look good, and they didn't come through for you. Stand up for yourself, sweetie.
