Well, there are probably more priests than ever... because there are more people than ever... and if you play the law of large numbers... probably, yeah.

The Episcopal Church ordains gay priests. In general though, I say there's just more exposure to the "issue," (remember when we all thought we were going to get attacked by sharks if we swam in the ocean because the news showed a bunch of shark attack videos?) Also more priests who are willing to be upfront about their sexuality. Sexuality does not indicate whether someone will actively pursue a given lifestyle, and concerning the Catholic Church specifically, you are allowed to be a gay priest, but just as a straight priest would need to, a gay priest must choose a life of chastity.
So in answer to your question, not really.

There are thousands of gay priests, and also thousands of child molesting priests. Perhaps there's a hidden agenda and entry requirement for priests. Sadly, there are many abused children, many of whom are now adults, just too scared to come forward and admit their abuse. The other damaging effect of religion is the brain-washing damage it causes to gullible minds.
My studies and research shows that religious people are not exactly rocket scientists, they tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. In some cases, the more violent the person, the more religious they are. I suspect that the vast majority of religious people are well below average intelligence.
I wonder if trying to improve the intellectual standard of our global community, would help remove the various religions from our culture, and thereby improve happiness and peace for humanity.
It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs.
Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts. Ever wondered why the USA (75% Christian) is so arrogant, aggressive or violent towards others in this world?

No. Roman Catholic priest are suppose to be celibate, so sexual preference should not matter.
However pedophile priests, widely used in the media, implies a distinctly higher rate of child molesters within the Roman Catholic priesthood. Actually the number of pedophiles are about the same as the rest of the population.

I don't believe that there are more gay people, proportionately, than at any other time or in any particular profession. People are able to come out not only about their personal sexualities, but also about sexual abuse committed by both gays and straights.
Incest is not more prevalent, nor child sexual molestation of all kinds, nor rape of adult women. People are just more likely to report it now because much of the stigma of having been abused (i.e., that it was the victim's fault, that shame has been brought upon a family, etc,) has gone because we are better educated through public discussion of the issues.

Are you serious and is this for real? There are gay priests? What country are you from? We don't have things like that here.

Pretty well everyone is getting more twisted every month or year.
Now they are getting caught - where years ago no one would believe it if their boy came home from alter boy jazz and told their parents what the creep did to/with them.
Years ago the kid would have been beaten up for lying, the parents believing in/ on the creep.

No, it's the same amount as there's always been. Just because you hear about something more frequently in the news doesn't mean that it's actually happening more frequently in real life.
