My boyfriend is from Columbia and I know he enjoys reading novels that are written in Spanish. I was wanting to send him a book while he is stationed over seas. Any recommendations?

Marquez is essential. Isabel Allende is great. Jorge Luis Borges, although some of it is a little out there. And if he's into poetry, maybe some Pablo Neruda.
