Hey you kinda look like [insert celebrity name]. Do you listen/watch any of her songs/movies? What do you think of them? {she answers something}What do you usually like to listen/watch {she answers something}. Continue talking about entertainment.

Hey my friends' birthday is coming up and she mentioned that she needed a whole new wardrobe since her clothes are so out of style. You look like you have good taste in clothes. Could recommend something to me for her?

I was watching the Oprah show and this supposed expert on dating said that the key to starting conversations is making the woman feel comfortable. Make sure she doesn't think you're a freak, and the only way to do that is to say you have to go soon, but you'd like to ask her a quick question of something. Then you can ask something that usually requires a woman's opinion (like clothes). She'll feel comfortable around you because she knows you're leaving soon whereas if you didn't state you had to go, she would think you were a freak and wonder what you were doing there or how long you'd stay there. Remember, saying "hey I gotta go soon, but..." is the key.

How's about a good old fashioned...."Hi there! My name is ::insert name here::. Not so hard...eh? Of course you could always go with "I didn't believe in God but I do now because I've finally met an angel." ::puke::!!! Take care and I hope you have an amazing evening!

well i know one that really works for me, or it did in the past,
If you see a guy who "rings your chimes" and if he gives you any encouragement, or looks,, then telll him you are sorry for staring, but you can hardly contain yourself, because he looks so much like someone from your past ..
someone you loved, and someone who was the sexiest man you ever knew..
and then he will blush, get a good feeling about himself, and then say , i know you are not him or related, but, it is uncanny,, and wait for him to respoond .
it is a great ice breaker,,,

it worked for me, because i was a little shy, but wanted the guy
good luck

Haha.... I've got quite a handful...

It totally depends on the enviroment though, but usually I muster enough confidence to ask them "how they are doing" usually in a mild manner ;)

Your Question: "Do you have a cellphone I could borrow?"

Two possible outcomes.

Outcome A.

Them: "Yes, I do have a cellphone"
You: "Great, I told my grandmother I'd call her when I fell in love"

Outcome B.

Them: "No, I don't have a cellphone"
You: "Oh, do you have a quarter then? I told my grandmother I'd call her when I fell in love"

Outcome C.

Them: "What's a cellphone?"
You: *where'd you go?*
