Both were very overrated but Holyfield was the better boxer.

Evander Holyfield hands down. It doesn't if they fought in 1990(Tyson went to jail) or their fight in 1996 and 1997. Tyson lost his belt to James Douglas in what was called the upset of the century. Holyfield beat Douglas in 3 rounds. In 1996, a "washed up" Holyfield fought Tyson and he won in 11 rounds. What more if they fought in 1990 when they were both in their peaks. Holyfield's got the bigger heart, better boxer and a lot smarter in the ring than Tyson as was evidence in their two fights.
