I was going out with this guy from a different school and i told him that i was confused and if he'd wait for me and he said yes. When i was ready to get back with him, he said he was confused so we both decided to be friends but once in a while we'll tell each other that we miss one another. I know he still likes me and i want to be with him but he wont ask me out again.

well. some situations just meant to happen.
me and mex girlfriend were in the same light. we broke up but we still miss each other. we tell we miss each other 10 times a day. then it diminished from day to day.
up to now i still miss her. but telling her i miss her will not bring her back into my arms.
so i guess i would advice you to learn to move on. you ex will just come kncking on your door if he really still loves you.
