Becoming common? Porn is just as common as it ever was. It's just that now there isn't such a stigma associated with it and it's become mainstream, so people aren't afraid to talk about it. I don't care what anybody says, it's the decline of traditional families that has led to the emptiness and loneliness that leads people to porn, and the subsequent decline in society has made it mainstream, which makes it seem more common. And also, the Internet has made all kinds of worlds accessible to anyone at any time.

My first reaction to this question was porn is not becoming more common but more accepted. But with greater acceptance I guess there would more production. Furthermore the creation of the Internet, digital cameras, and web cams we are see more porn. But, I believe that this still goes back to my original thought porn is becoming more accepted in main stream culture and that is why it is becoming more common. Why it is becoming accepted in culture I would have to say stems from the free love era and we are seeing the generational effects of this idea into acceptance of sexuality and porn being of that nature is also accepted

it isn't really the sources, though that does help it along. It is becoming more accepted. Porn is no considered normal among the majority of america. What used to be considered perverted is no longer perverted and those who still consider it so are considered out of date and old fashioned and shunned. Such is the way of cultural evolution. I'm not stating my opinion just fact, im not siding either way.

becoming common? porn has been around for a long long time. even before playboy porn has been around since the invention of the camera. porn has been around since there has been ways to display images, for example look at the kama sutra. The text was composed by Vatsyayana, as a brief summary of various earlier works belonging to a tradition known generically as Kama Shastra, the science of love. He is believed to have lived sometime between the 1st to 6th centuries AD. Look it up you ninny. Its human nature to view porn. screw all these cold fish saying its wrong and disgusting. We were all born naked, and we all have sex sometime in our life. some more than others. If you dont like it then dont look.

Porn is not looked at the way it use to be looked at. With the stripper poles in homes, porn is no big deal. Looseness is everywhere, on MTV, TV shows, etc......Porn is not even considered bad taste anymore. There is nothing left but nakedness.

It's more accessible and the taboo is going away. In some types of things that used to be considered porn, it's almost mainstream these days.

Because people look at it. There are thousands of sites out there and more keep springing up simply because men can't keep it in their pants for more than 2 hours.
