Why does God have to be created out of something? God is a spirit. Do we know how a spirit is created? No. We all have a spirit and that spirit lives in a body. Please don't generalize and say that all Christians sent you an email because I haven't.

If atheists were to support the assumption of the universe having come into being without any agent, then they are accepting one of two things: one, that it has always existed i.e. that it has no beginning; or two, that nothing produced something. Both of these statements are very difficult to swallow. The only way for them to justify their positions is to say, “We do not know the answer to that,” which is the same answer that religious people are always criticized for when they are asked something about God that they do not know. It is also no better than when believers say that God has no beginning or that prophets produced miracles; in fact, it is worse.

People seem to accept that if there was a God, He would be able to do anything; and yet, when they are told that God has no origin, their minds fill with unsettling doubts of how this could be true. They say, “Everything has to have a beginning!” The problem here is that many of them have a false conception of God as having human attributes. The question of God having a beginning is invalid. The very powers and qualities of God enable Him to do the impossible, to bend the rules of logic and physics. So if God can create something out of nothing – a concept which contradicts our rational view of how the world functions – is it so hard to believe that God has always existed? He is the only One without a beginning. It sounds unnatural, but it makes sense. It also gives the only logical – or most logical – explanation of how the universe began. Ignoring all the miracles the prophets performed and the scriptures they were sent with, is the world’s excellent craftsmanship not sufficient proof by itself that there is a God? If we were to take a minute to really contemplate about the complexities, variety, and beauty of the universe, we would acknowledge that all this is truly mind-boggling and could not have come into being on its own.

The whole idea of God is that He is infinite. To ask where he came from is asking for a translation to something that is incomprehensible to our minds. It's like trying to get the ants that are out on your front driveway to come in and reprogram your computer - the depths of understanding are too vast to express. God always was, is and will be. See, the problem with defining God is that we must grant certain things, or else we aren't talking about the same thing. If we both aren't talking about an omniscient, omnipotent being greater than that which cannot be described... then we are not talking about the same thing.
Evolution is a scientific fact that doesn't contradict anything about Creationism. There IS a Heaven and hell because God says there is, and I know I would know what my hell would be - the best reason to try and not go there.
But, to answer your question, God created God. Does that help? :)

Hey I think you believing in evolution take as much faith as me believing in God. I mean what started the whole process? It was a serendipity event? I mean for our existence everything has to be just perfect and even though it all happened by accident it worked out to make our world. WOW! That's pretty amazing (I'm not being sarcastic, I am serious) So here it is, to you it make sense that everything happened by mistake, to me it makes sense that everything was made to happen by a Being greater than us. Through study and soul searching I have found that to be the Christian God, yes. But I also believe that Evolution could very much be the process in which God chooses to create.

In answer to your question. God is and was and always will be. We not need know anything beyond that. If he was created (I don't believe He was, I guess you could say this is our "serendipity") It doesn't matter by whom, what, where or how because He is the one who created us.

I HAVE NEVER condemned anyone for their beliefs. I was taught to follow the commandment that <"You shall not judge lest you be judged." It's not up to me who goes where (good thing too because I HAVE been gravely mistaken before..lol) It would be hypocritical for me to say to you where God will send you.

Only a fool would say there is no God. You should at least call yourself an Agnostic, which means you just don't know if there is a God or not. Never close the door on anything. All Athiests look for loop-holes in the Bible when they are on their death-beds.You could at least adopt the Religion called "A Golden Ruler" (you know, do onto to others as you would have them do unto you.) Treating others the way you want to be treated is all God really wants from us. May God bless your confussed and lost soul

God has always been here. No one created Him. He is GOD. He is all powerful, He can do anything and everything. I am Roman Catholic and left the church for 15 yrs. I literally told God to go to hell. He never left me alone. Three yrs ago I realized that He has been in my life the whole time and I joined the church again. My faith, my belief tells me that God has always been here and always will. It all about faith. I believe that my parents will always love me. I don't know 100% for sure but I have faith, belief that they will love me forever. If they don't, oh well. If God doesn't exist, oh well. At least I tried my best to do my best as a human. If God does exist, I hope all my goodness overrules my badness and He will forgive me so I can meet Him in Heaven some day. If God does exist and I don't have faith, then ---- hell with me. So to speak.

I know many atheists and most are good people but we are human, mortal, sinners. We make mistakes every day, big ones and little ones. By my believing in God and having faith that He exists and has created it all and loves me totally, helps me strive to do good and to learn more on how to do good. Life isn't fair and isn't easy. God knows that, He created us knowing that we will sin. But He definitely 'wishes' that we don't sin much nor often. I think of it as this -- I wanted a child and I now have a son. I knew even before getting pregnant that being a mother would have it's ups and downs. I know how I was as a child and as a teen. (my poor parents) but knowing for sure that my child would make me laugh, cry and yell, I still wanted a child. God knows (knew) we would make Him laugh, cry and yell but He still wanted us.

I could go on and on. A big topic in my life. Good luck with yours.

I can certainly relate to you being frustrated to people sending you emails about your decisions. However, I am going to answer this question only because you've asked it. Although you say you are an atheist, and if I'm correct that basically means you don't believe in God; I am very pleased that you also seem to be an openminded person-which is an excellent asset. You can't graft a new idea into a closed mind........Read any Bible for yourself; just as a challenge to yourself. Read Revelations !:8, 21:6, and 22:13. Please read with an open mind and see if that puts some clarity on your question....

God tells us in His Word, the Bible, that He is the beginning and the end. May I give you the history of the Bible since I have used it as my authority?

The Bible is God's Word to us.
It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21. (New International Version)

Breakdown of the Bible
36 human authors inspired entirely by God over 1600 years.
66 separate books
39 Old Testament
Genesis- The creation of the world, sin, flood and birth of Israel
Exodus to Esther- History of the nation of Israel
Job to Proverbs- the books of poetry and wisdom
Isaiah to Malachi- Prophecy or foretelling of the future events to come.
27 New Testament
Matthew to John - Four Gospels representing the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ now with all authority in Heaven and earth.
Acts- Birth of the Church (The Bride of Christ)
Romans to Jude - Letters to the Churches
Revelations - The ultimate future plans for: The Church, Heaven, Hell, a New Heaven and a New Earth.

Christianity, as well as 99.9 percent of ALL religions was invented over 2000 years ago by feeble, trembling, meek humans who needed something to quell their fears. Christians were also some of the most notrious of religions for maiming, torturing, crippling, and murdering people who wouldnt adjust or believe in Christianity! They were wrong then and they are still wrong! The fat blonde on TLN who insists that evolution has never been proven is a fool! She says there is no proof of evolution whatsoever! I guess dinosaur bones were manufactured and planted by ancient atheists......I happen to believe in an all powerful force or being and am not an atheist myself but I also firmly believe in evolution. Christians seem to tell the all mighty how he created.....whats wrong with the idea that hew chose evolution as the path? It is apparent all around us! I am sick of seeing Christians along with other religions tell me how the creator created! I choose to sit humbly in amazement and leave Gods method to him! If he chose evolution as the path then so be it! Todays religion is still based on ancient, archaic beliefs and is nothing but a hinderance to the salvation of the world! The Bible itself was NOT written by the creator....it was written by a bunch of humans who claimed to have had first hand knowledge from the creator. I rather think it was too many poison berries .........

No one created God. God has always been there. Our minds cannot really understand that.
So you believe in evolution, tell me where is the evidence that apes became humans.? Did evolution stop or is man evolving into something else?
