i do want to date someone but i feel unatractive can someone please help me be more open about myself.

if you look anything like your avatar, you're quite nice looking.
firstly it is practically impossible to be entirely unatractive. and I just have to say, when you find somebody who makes you feel beautiful, you'll know they're the right guy!

When you are around guys you are putting way too much thought in to how you look. This is when you quit focusing on your self and pay attention to the guys.You inner beauty will be what counts then. The guys will be more impressed with the attention that you give to THEM.
Inner confidence is what counts, if you don't have it, fake it until you do.
Guys respond more when you are less focused on your self.
Self talk is important. (not out loud) Say to yourself.
I am lovely and I am going to make these guys feel comfortable so that they can get to know a catch like me.
See, if you are sitting there thinking that you are unatractive that negative energy will show on your face. Our own internal dialog comes across and we don't even know it.
You go girl and you will do fine!

YOu have to be able to look atthe positive thigns about yourself and not just physical aspects. There is no point just focusing on what you'd want to change, because it will be one viscious circle of i dont like this about myself, the other person will see this etc...
Don 't try to hard just becasue you want to date. Just act yourself. I know you maybe shy, but honestly i think you are just not 'open' about the way you act normally around good freidns and such. it's not about being open. If you canact and beahve how you usually do then you will be alot more comfortable around guys. No girl is unattractive, alot of changes are happening now atthis age of 16. Relax a lilttle. It's not like you have to find a guy and be married in the next few months. Peace

you are just lacking confidence in yourself. Focus on what you feel is your strongest quality and or ability. If you show others what you're good at and what talents you have you'll feel more confident and it may break the ice with a guy that you have an interest in. Most importatly believe in yourself and believe that you are a great person.

I was in you shoes when i was 16 yrs old and yeah ,,,i felt just like you. What i did was got in to sports or something you like to do in school a club or group, when u like you life your start liking your self. cuz your happy and nothing seems so blaaa. your happy and full of newness..

well may be u need to find out what guys around u are looking at for a Date.May be u need to be more presentable and communicative to approcah to someone i am sure someone will then approcah u
