Throughout the Bible, God is described as multi-faceted. He was, is, and will be. He exists in the past, the present, and the future. We are stuck between two eternities, and to us, he appears plural, in time. Adam was created in the moment, and after the fall, was prohibitted from eating of the tree of life, less he become like 'Us', that is to say eternal...

The Bible was translated from other languages. In the original text God is given several names for the different ways he works. in the verse you talk about the word is Elohim--God the son when connected with creation. It relates to mankind as his creations. God the son (also known as Jesus) did not just appear when he came to earth but has always been, The Father, The Son and the Holy Ghost. All being the Same but with Different Functions so to say. The confusion comes when the word is translated to English. If you are truly interested i suggest getting a "Companion Bible" which explains alot of these things in footnotes and appendixes.

OUR image is God's image. God is one. There are three Persons in God - the Father, the Son (jesus), the Holy Spirit. When Christians talk about God they are talking about these three Persons. We can talk about them on an individual level when talking about Father the Creator, Jesus' life and death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit being on earth now looking over us and guiding. But all 3 of them are God. The Holy Trinity.
Any help?

This is an amazing part of the Bible... see, here is where we see that where there is only one God.. there is also the trinity... so here God is referring to Himself and the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost). Seeing as they are one in three (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) they are both separate (that's why they have separate names) yet they are one being (that's why God refers to "Us" and "Our"). Make sense? Good luck on your exploration into God's Word, and God bless!

He is talking to Jesus Christ, who happens to be God's first creation. - Colossians 1:15
Some have claimed that the "us" and "our" in this expression indicate a Trinity. But if you were to say, 'Let us make something for ourselves,' no one would normally understand this to imply that several persons are combined as one inside of you. You simply mean that two or more individuals will work together on something. So, too, when God used "us" and "our," he was simply addressing another individual, his first spirit creation, the master craftsman, the prehuman Jesus.

Do you know about the trinity? I am not for sure cause I am not looking at my Bible right this minute, but it could be meaning that. So it is not a contridiction. Nice try though.

There are no contridicitons in the Bible, although some appear that way to the unlearned. Our refers to the Trinity-God in three persons- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
