Ok, so could it be that the reason why I am still alone, and feeling so unhappy with my life, and the reason why I feel like everything sucks....is b/c Im not doing what God wants. Its kind of hard to explain. I dont know what it is, but for some reason, its like hard for me to pray. I'll start to, but I seriously feel like there is something not letting me actually believe in it , rather than just say the words!! ya know. So, what do you think...is the reason why Im really so unhappy, is b/c God is unhappy with me!!? Im just really confused....how do I get back to praying, and trying to what God wants. What is blocking me!?

HELP!!

I don't know what the circumstances are in your life that are causing you to be unhappy, etc. - but I can tell you that it is not because "God is unhappy" with you. God is all-loving, patient, and merciful. And even when we do not do His will, He still loves us - not only loves us, but cherishes us. So your unhappiness is not some kind of mystical manifestation of God's unhappiness with you. It is something inside of you, which you have to try to sort out.

It could be that, as you say, you are not doing God's will - but by that, you might want to think of it in terms of trying to do your own will and not getting what you want. If that is the case, maybe those things you want are not the right things for you, and you should look for something else.

It's really impossible to give any advice without knowing you, your situation, how you feel about things, etc.

As for what's blocking you in prayer, could be a lot of things, but this whole idea of accepting God's will for you is a big one. If you are open to whatever that might be and have faith in Him, perhaps it won't be so difficult to pray. And maybe it's difficult to pray because you're praying for the wrong things. Read the Epistle of St. James carefully - even nightly before praying. There is a wealth of spiritual guidance there.

At the end of the day, you should try to recognize that whatever is in your life is exactly what you need for your salvation - no more, no less. God knows what you need, which medicine and in what dosage. So trust in Him as the all-loving Physician of your soul, and let Him guide you into prayer, instead of trying to force it.

Don't know what else I can say, except God bless you and keep you well. Don't forsake Him, because He hasn't forsaken you.

I have been where you are many times. It is a cycle. A growth process. Soon you will be able to recognize it and beat it to the punch.

You just need to get to your next level. Ths often happens right before something powerful happens in your life. Remember confusion, depression and similar feelings are not of God. That is the enemy trying toattack your walk with God, because if her can keep you feeling unhappy and like you can't pra then he will keep you from fulfiling your purpose.

Keep praying. Try a new service at church, like a prayer service or bible study. Get a praying friend to pray wih and for you. And don't give up. Rebuke Satan, get tough with him, you have the power to beat this and you will.

It's like eating fish. Either you like it or you don't.
You are superstitious, not evil. You think bad things are happening because you don't follow some weird ritualistic behavior.
That's superstition.
Have you seen any gods around lateley? Believe in what you can see. Do the good things you know are good, and people will help you do more. Be the person you want to change into. That's true. If you then want to thank God for good things, you might find that works better. Meanwhile, make a list of things to do each day and work at it.God doesn't hold grudges against the farmers who stay home and take care of the animals and land instead of going to church.

The enemy is blocking you. When we do not pray, we are distancing ourselves from God. The further we are from God the closer we can get to Satan and his purpose.

You are loved by God and you may be unhappy because YOU know you should be closer to Him, not because He is doing anything to you. You probably feel Him calling you back to the place of worship you once had.

Do not try to make it longer to be effective. Just say, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, who is the head of my life, my Savior and Redeemer, I pray. Come, Lord Jesus, I love You. I want You. I need You. You are my everything."

If you say that enough times with all you heart, mind and soul- you will feel it and be stirred to take it further one day.

Take a praise break. Get some inspirational/spiritual/religious music with a good beat and move through the house, in your car, in your room. Feel what the Father has for you. Tell yourself that no matter what you see, God is in control and He loves you. Believe it. I am praying for your prayers.

Perhaps you are trying too hard. It may be that you are crowding out the conversation when you pray. Try sitting still and letting God speak to you instead of the other way around. It may not necessarily be a voice but rather a thought, emotion or sensation. Really pay attention, just sit with it and don't analyze it too much. The meaning will come to you if you don't try to force it. Check out the Contemplative Outreach website for more info on the contemplative dimension to Christianity.

Your own dishonesty with what you want is what is stopping you. Ask yourself these questions and be honest - the FIRST answer that comes to mind without a lot of thinking. It is true that satan doesn't want you to follow God, so he will do what he can to hinder you. With your confusion, you are allowing him to do that. Praying should never be hard, since God is listening to you all the time, not just when you kneel, clasp your hands, or do whatever you do.
You can't blame your lack of devotion on "something else". There is only you and God in your relationship - satan is easily thwarted if you let God do it for you. God is not unhappy with you - it is you who are unhappy with you. I am sorry for your depression. Take the simple answer and apply it immediately - take action to solving your problem instead of just letting it be because of something else. You can do it!

I know what you mean. I have the same thing going on with me...well, sort of. With the praying thing I know what you mean. But I don't think that everything sucks. I am encouraged when I see people tapping into their purposes in Life. Yeah I think its true....we really need to dig into what our purpose is. How do I get back to praying? I am not quite sure. I was listening to a christian music cd the other day and it really helped me to focus in...if you know what I mean. I don't listen to that much christian music but I am considering buying a couple to give a listen. Also your environment can make you who you r if you let it...if your hanging around crowds that might not be good for you at this time it can put a drain on you. Try surrounding yourself with good things and Truth. Best to you.

Sometimes we just need to stop, and meditate, and think about what God wants, He loves you and He wants you to be happy, but sometimes the reason we are not its because we are the ones making the wrong decisions and then when we get what we deserve we feel bad, and we think that God has abandoned us, but He stills there we are the ones that separate ourselves from him. Sometimes I feel like that and that's when I try to pray and really just talk to him because I know that He will answer. I hope that I helped you.

God would NEVER be unhappy with you. You need to be happy with yourself before you can find happiness with others. When you do this, everything else will fall into place. And as far as getting back to praying---just start talking and he will listen.
